Please tell me the truth

Do not make me tease it out

That would not please you.

Touching and teasing the keys

Don’t stop play on, please

This  is  the  best  “How  to ” book I  have  ever  read , as  I  have  said  already said  on  Amazon.

“13 Steps to Evil” by Sacha Black is the best “How to” book I have ever read! It is not only brilliantly informative but also entertaining as well. It really has had me intrigued and entertained . Personally I have learnt a great deal about how to craft a super evil villain!
If you are new to writing or even if you are an old master, I am certain there is something for everyone to learn from in this book.
Sacha has made sure that the book is concise, easy to read and understand and has added lots of extras for us all to benefit from
for example, appendices, references and checklists.

                              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes  it  is  a  really is  a  brilliantly  helpful  book and  so  enjoyable  I  found  myself  chuckling  or  is  that  cackling  out  loud ! ..Mind  you  Villains that  cackle  are a  cliche , See I  have  learnt  that  from  the  book! Honestly  I  have  really learnt  so  much. Sacha  is  a  very  knowledgeable and  accomplished  writer.    Also  she is  a  lovely and  approachable  person  too.
I  cannot  recommend  “13 Steps  to  Evil” enough  !
Well what  are  you  waiting  for   buy  it  from  your favorite Bookstore or site.
Song Lyric Sunday : The Universal Soldier
So, our theme for Song Lyric Sunday this week is to post a song about the military.
This  week  HELEN VAHDATI   of  This  life  one word  at a time   has  set  us  a  hard  task, well  to my mind  anyway.  I  was  going  to  pick  more  than  one.  Then I  thought  No  the  Universal  Soldier  is  not only  the Soldier   but also  the  Sailor , the  Marine  and  the  Airman he is  all of  them  and  all of  us.
Rules  and Pingback  here
Here  we  go , well for  my  choice  I  am  going  back  to  my  youth  and  a song  from  Donovan The  Universal Soldier  the  song  was  written  by  Buffy  Sainte- Marie  I  first  heard  the  song  in  1964,my  first  protest  song!
Lyrics  by  A to  Z Lyrics
“Universal Soldier”  written  by  Buffy  Sainte  – Marie
He’s five foot-two, and he’s six feet-four,
He fights with missiles and with spears.
He’s all of thirty-one, and he’s only seventeen,
Been a soldier for a thousand years.
He’a a Catholic, a Hindu, an Atheist, a Jain,
A Buddhist and a Baptist and a Jew.
And he knows he shouldn’t kill,
And he knows he always will,
Kill you for me my friend and me for you.
And he’s fighting for Canada,
He’s fighting for France,
He’s fighting for the USA,
And he’s fighting for the Russians,
And he’s fighting for Japan,
And he thinks we’ll put an end to war this way.
And he’s fighting for Democracy,
He’s fighting for the Reds,
He says it’s for the peace of all.
He’s the one who must decide,
Who’s to live and who’s to die,
And he never sees the writing on the wall.
But without him,
How would Hitler have condemned them at Dachau?
Without him Caesar would have stood alone,
He’s the one who gives his body
As a weapon of the war,
And without him all this killing can’t go on.
He’s the Universal Soldier and he really is to blame,
His orders come from far away no more,
They come from here and there and you and me,
And brothers can’t you see,
This is not the way we put the end to war.
Stream of Consciousness Saturday. Smell
This week  for SoCs I have decided to go with three Haiku that I hope are evocative of smell. Our leader LindaGHill of Life in Progress said : Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “smell.” Use it any way you’d like. Have fun!
                  💜 💝💝💝 💜
There’s nothing so sweet
As the smell of the new born
Makes your life complete.
Smell the fresh and new
Two bodies become one scent
Smell the ardent fire.
Jessica
For  the longest  time  the child  had  gathered bones  and dead insects.
Body parts she  cut  from animals  so  she could learn  how  they  worked .
Not  dead  animals  the  organs  had  to  be alive  and pumping
Warm and  growing,  breathing , flowing.
It  had  started  with  a bone  collection  but  she had  needed  to have  more knowledge.
She  gathered  spiders  and  insects  from the hedge .
Soon  cats and  dogs went  missing , they’d disappear?
Her  mother shut  her eyes  to what  she guessed, keeping  silent her fear.
The  child  spent  less and  less  time  at home
She  preferred to be in the woods foraging  on her  own.
Then  the odd  baby   disappeared  from  it’s cot
The  need  for  learning   was  all that mattered  to  the swot.
One  day  she was gone,  she  did not  return home
The  child  had  decided  it  was time  to roam.
With  necklaces of  eyes  and  ears  and trinkets  made of  bone
She traveled  the word  her  skills to  practice  and hone.
 Lock  your  windows , close  your  doors
She  is out  there  crossing  fields  and  moors
She is  bigger now  and  stronger
Only  harvests  what  she needs, keeps her donors  alive  longer
What  made  the child want  to  kill  this  way
The  thirst  for  knowledge  one  might  say.
Or  maybe  pure  evil invaded  her  whole
She  was  such a  beauty  in  body  but not in soul.
Beware  when out on  day or  night
Beware  those eyes  so angelic  a sight .
Run from the clink of bone and tooth
She  will not  spare  you  and  that is  the truth!
