All New Bloggers Bash LTD

Bloggers Bash News From Sacha our leader.

Hopefully, by now you’ve heard the news that The Annual Bloggers Bash has a new home. If you haven’t, then buckle up baby, I’m about to rock your world.

If you’ve never heard of the Bash, then let me enlighten you:

The Bloggers Bash is a social event for bloggers created by me. With the help of my amazing committee, Geoff, Hugh, Suzie, Helen, Graeme and Adam, its purpose is to bring together the blogging community and provide an opportunity for everyone to meet the friends they’ve made online.

And if you haven’t been, you’re missing out.

I can’t quite believe that what started as a quest to meet my strange computer-shaped bloggy buds, has bloomed into a half-decade old bash toddler. Guys, FIVE FREAKING YEARS. FIVE. Half a decade and we’re stronger than ever. Not only has The Annual Bloggers Bash become The Bloggers Bash Ltd, it now has it’s own website.

Now, I know that I need to keep the pretense up that I’m dead on the inside, but indulge me a moment, will you?

The bash has hit its fair share of bumps along the way, but we wouldn’t be here without you guys, and without the genuinely amazing committee.

Every member of the committee works exceptionally hard to create the bash each year, but I want to take a minute to specifically thank Graeme who has taken over the reins for chairing this year, and secondly Suzie who has spent weeks coding and programming the frankly stunning new website. It’s totally on brand, on color, on style, on everything point.

The need-to-knows:

For the old timers of you who are used to coming over here around feb/march and seeing the nomination and voting process roll out. This year, it will be run from the bash website itself. It’s time the bash has its own home and a professional front.

Without further ado, please go check out the new website

The Day I Accidently Touched Someone’s Boobs

I keep having this nightmare. I miss my train. Throwing my hands up in the air  I catch the woman next to me’s boob in my hand. So today I was late again and missed the train and yes I did nip the woman next to me’s boob. She punched me hard!

Dawn arrives I walk out on the breakwater. In front deep water behind  a shallow lido. I have been gone for days no one’s missed me. For some reason I leave my mobile on the rocks.

I step forward to oblivion and peace, as I sink beneath the waves my phone rings.

Writespiration #135 52 Weeks in 52 Words Week 40.

This week the dastardly Sacha Black has given us another interesting prompt for our 52 Weeks 52 Words.

We have to write a story about “The day you ignore the Keep Out sign.

Running for my life, I heard him behind me. Having got out of the cellar this was my only chance. Wind and rain making it impossible to see, I missed the sign. I heard the crash and his scream… Retracing my steps  I saw were he had fallen. Now he was prisoner.

Believe it or not I was that weird kid at school. The one always skulking around at the back of the class, hiding in the loos to escape being badgered. Never willingly picked for any team game  or club. Laughed at poked . Well I grew up I wonder if they did?
