Well
it was like this Mr Plod, sorry it’s hard to hear you with those bells making such a racket!  We just went to get some water for the old lady up the road. You know the one with all those screaming kids.

We found the cat at the bottom of the well clinging on for dear life. Did we see anyone around at the time. Well we did see that nasty piece of work Little Jonny Thin.

Ofcourse I rescued the beautiful Pussycat! My name, Stout, Tommy Stout. Yes I will be keeping the dear animal so all is well that ends well

Why did I not keep it safe.

Due to nature’s dew we do.

Stream of Consciousness Saturday : Hot and Cold. A day late!

This week LindaGHill has given us hot and cold as our #SoCs prompt.

Rules and Pingback Here

Hot and cold running water used to be a luxury, back in the days when not everyone had good plumbing it was a sign that you were a cut above the rest.

When people use the term to blow hot and cold it means that someone is very hard to predict. Their mood is very changeable and unpredictable.

Personally I find people who blow hot and cold irritating. I hate never knowing the way people will react. One minute I am bumbling along happily the next minute I am in the dog house! It’s no way to live.

Hot and cold two opposite ends of the scale.

          Hot and cold a Tanka

Unpredictable

Blowing hot and cold you leave

Me hurt and frozen.

Like hot and cold pipes frozen

That burst after a quick thaw.

Stream of Consciousness Saturday. Vol.

This week LindaGHill of Life in Progress has given is ‘vol’ as our #SoCs prompt. We can use it as part of any word as long as it is fun to do.

Welcome back home Linda and I am glad that you and Alex are both okay.

Evolution is

Convoluted by nature

Involved and growing.

It’s not a frivolous thing

Revolving in the cycle

Stream Consciousness Saturday: Motive.

This week LindaGHill of Life in Progress has given us the word motive for our #SoCs Prompt.

Why did you do it

What made you decide to go

I shall never know

Motive can be good or bad

All actions have a reason

Stream of Consciousness Saturday Birth/ Berth

Today not long after her Birth we visited the Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carrier . She, all ships are referred to as she, was in her Berth at Portsmouth Naval Docks.

She is huge!

Here she is in the same photo as Admiral Nelson’s ship Victory.

A hazy view of here across the water to the right of the Spinnaker taken from Porchester Castle.

Why are ships called she?

Sailors like to think of their boats as female. They, the ships, take care of thrm and they, the sailors do work for them. Women sailors, seem to like the idea of their vessels as female.

Halting it still, or throwing it into reverse

Eternal night may ensue

Now that’s a thought on which to chew.
