Stream of Consciousness Saturday on Sunday.

This little piece of silliness comes to you care of LindaGHill’s #SoCs

This week’s prompt is card. We can use it anyway we like, as long as we have fun.

You can have a business card, or a place card to show you where to sit at a wedding, or an important function.

You can have flash cards to teach someone to read.

Prompt cards to help with a speech.

There are football cards, cigarette cards.

When someone is the life and soul of the party they call them a card. Full of life, full of fun always joking : “Isn’t he a card

If you really want something,a favour, some money, a job, a holiday. People say :”play your cards right” that means do whatever you can to please that person, make them happy flatter them to get what you want.

If something is inevitable, unavoidable they say : “Its on the cards.”

Card, colours and glitter

And a happy rhyme

Really that’s all you need.

Days made special by a card.

I think “It’s on the cards” doesn’t mean something is inevitable, just that there’s a clear possibility it might happen. The risk is inevitable, you might say. “Given his lifestyle, it was always on the cards he wouldn’t reach 60.” Wouldn’t be disproved if he died at 78.
