Song Lyric Sunday Search.30/09/18.

This week’s Song Lyric Sunday prompt word is search.

I have gone a little off piste this week with Queen‘s Lilley of the Valley.

Brilliant song all about searching for answers to questions that make up our lives.

“Lily Of The Valley”

I am forever searching high and low
But why does everybody tell me no
Neptune of the seas
Have you an answer for me please
And the lily of the valley doesn’t know

I lie in wait with open eyes
I carry on through stormy skies
I follow every course
My kingdom for a horse
But each time I grow old
Serpent of the Nile
Relieve me for a while
And cast me from your spell and let me go

Messenger from Seven Seas has flown
To tell the King of Rhye he’s lost his throne
Wars will never cease
Is there time enough for peace
But the lily of the valley doesn’t know.

This is part of Helen Vahdati’s #songlyricsunday join in here.

Happy Sunday everyone.

September Music 30

For the month of September I am going to choose a piece of music or song and write a poem or alternative version. Jane Dougherty is doing a September Stanza here. And Kat Myrman is doing September a poem a day Here.

Last day today.

Today’s piece of music is Breathe me by Sia.

My interpretation

Slowly dripping red the droplets of blood hit the ground

The deeper the cut the more relief there is to be found.

Always careful to keep the cuts out of sight

In the bathroom or the bedroom in the dark of night.

The secret kept, the truth unknown

Always the hidden and worsening a darkness grown.

Hassled and bullied all of the time

Slipping under the radar …. left to suffer this insidious crime.

No one understood, no one could be told or trusted

This dirty secret is kept, must tell no one, don’t want to be busted.

Finally no more pain can be taken, it all gets too much

Cut, and cut again, end the agony end the pain. Laying there all night. Found cold to the touch.

Stream of Consciousness Saturday on Sunday.

Dominos

There

Standing

In neat rows

Prepared, waiting

For the hand of fate

To set them in motion

Toppling them out of control

Like ten pins hit by a giant bowel

In this life we are the Dominos

There is no escape that’s just how it goes.

The above Etheree was brought to you, extremely late, as part of LindaGHill’s #SoCs. This week’s prompt was DOM. To be used as a suffix, prefix or part of a word. You choose you enjoy.

September Music 29

For the month of September I am going to choose a piece of music or song and write a poem or alternative version. Jane Dougherty is doing a September Stanza here. And Kat Myrman is doing September a poem a day Here.

Today’s piece of music is Only the Winds by Olafur Arnalds

My interpretation.

Our love transcends all
Through time and space we fall

We are meant to be together

Our love is not just now but forever.

Our eyes meet across the ages

Our story is embossed on its pages.

We pass through hell and glass

We spin through eternity locked in a clasp.

We are now, then and forever

We are one to be apart never.

September Music 28

For the month of September I am going to choose a piece of music or song and write a poem or alternative version. Jane Dougherty is doing a September Stanza here. And Kat Myrman is doing September a poem a day Here.

Today’s piece of music is Mars, from Gustav Holst‘s The Planets.

My interpretation

Heed me I bring war

I shall smite all in my path

I am the War God

I lay waste to all planets

Showing no mercy at all.

Thursday photo prompt: Fall #writephoto

This is my entry for Sue Vincent‘s Thursday Photo Prompt.

This week the prompt word to go with the photo is Fall.

Rules and Pingback Here

The Fall.

Her eyes snapped open, how did she come to be here. Taking a deep breath she fought the confusion in her mind to discover her last journey. As her breathing slowed she took in her surroundings.

This was a beautiful place, colours, sunlight and the soft splash of a waterfall. She looked down, it was, certainly a long drop with sharp rocks at the base.

In a flash memories of the last week flooded into her already overloaded brain. The fight, the pain, the banishment the overwhelming grief and guilt.

How had it started, she asked herself, immediately giving herself the answer, that the beginning was no longer important but how it was to end.

Suddenly the surroundings began to shift , they were coming she had to act now and quickly, no time to jump to another space or moment it had to end.

Closing her eyes she leaned forward into a fall. The last thing she felt was sunlight and water, the last sounds she heard were birds and the breeze.

She felt a thud, blackness and blissful peace.

Today’s piece of music is Thank You by Alanis Moressette.

My interpretation. A mirror Etheree

Life

We have

Only one

Chance to fulfill

We owe it to God

To do the best we can

No one else lives it for us

Be grateful for the chance to shine

Know that what you have is so devine

This is your only chance to let it work

We are all responsible for our fate

Is that too damn hard to contemplate.

Don’t blame it on everyone else

It’s my life and I’ll own it

Thank you God for letting

Me see the whole truth

You have opened

My closed eyes

Now I

Know

Brittany Day 4

We woke early again to silence and dark.

We had decided the night before to visit the Chapel of Notre Dame du Deliverance. The Chapel was not far from us.

So another picnic was made Ruby walked and off we went.

We found the turn off to the Chapel at Monthault. The Chappelle Notre Dame De la Deliverance.

The first thing we noticed in the carpark was a stone table tennis table ! Yes in the middle of nowhere, among the picnic tables was a table tennis table made of stone.

It was so quiet there and beautiful, there was no one there only us and Ruby.

As I wandered through the trees I noticed crosses dotted around the area. On closer inspection we discovered that they were all stations of the cross.

We walked up to the chapel, it is a lovely building. Sadly though it was not only locked but from what I could see inside it was rather neglected too.

The statue on top of chapel, which has been rebuilt more than once , is a glorious tribute to the Virgin Mary,it was placed there when the chapel was rebuilt in 1877. The gold was applied to the statue in 1913.

Above is “The Monk’s Stone” I thought it was a Dolman but it was so huge. It is said a hermit lived there, well if he did there was no way in, or shelter to be found there.. it is said a monk did live on this strange site but he lived in a hut on on top of the stones!

Above are three photos of “The Granite Symposium” Fabulous modern features even so I could feel history from within them . The granite itself would be old even if the art and sculpture is new.

There were more stones there and I was so caught up in the feel of the place as was hubby that we failed to photograph them but I have put in links here to the website so you can see these amazing stones and read their history.

The Devil’s Stone

The Slippery or Scary Stone

The Stone of Sacrifice

The it was time for our picnic

Then more walking through time and space.

September Music 26

For the month of September I am going to choose a piece of music or song and write a poem or alternative version. Jane Dougherty is doing a September Stanza here. And Kat Myrman is doing September a poem a day Here.

Today’s piece of Music is China by Tori Amos

My interpretation.

I step forward you step back

Dancing around each other, loosing track.

Fingers brushing

Thoughts causing blushing

I step forward you step back , the rejection is crushing.

Too many people here

I shall look the fool I fear

I reach for you but you’ve already gone

I bow my head in shame,

Cover my ears they’re play our song.

Falling slowly from the tower

For a second I feel a rush of power.

No pain yet, maybe I’ll sprout wings and fly

Sadly this real life you will not catch me . You’ll go and let me die.

OH! OH! THE PAIN, ALL PAIN NO GAINS

I am feel the blood leaving my veins.

Will you turn back will you run and take my hand

Will you hell, you barely acknowledge me,I don’t register in your plan.

I step forward you step back

Dancing around each other, loosing track.

Fingers brushing

Thoughts causing blushing

I step forward you step back, rejection is crushing.

For the month of September I am going to choose a piece of music or song and write a poem or alternative version. Jane Dougherty is doing a September Stanza here. And Kat Myrman is doing September a poem a day Here.

Today’s piece of music is In Memory of Trees by Enya.

Mighty Forrests once covered this earth

Nature was green and she knew her worth

Then came man, the trees remember this.

The trees gave us shade and cover

They protected us like a mother

Giving us air to breathe

Yet we slay them, that’s hard to believe.

Trees live so long they hold their memories safe

Sadly they are being killed at a pace.
