The theme this week is submitted by The Sound of One Hand Typing. John suggested that we write a (clean) love story and use the names of two or three songs from the Top 40 on Valentine’s Day of some year. Here’s an example John did for another challenge to help get you going.
Well I thought 🤔 about this and decided to go with the Top 100 UK chart for St. Valentine’s week 1980.
Lets go Dancing .
Kate and Lilly sat in the Wimpy Bar chatting, “We need a night out tomorrow?”
“You’re so right I’m in the mood for dancing!”
“Right” said Lilly ” I Hear you Now ! “
Shall I see if Carrie wants to come?””No point she’s moved out and not left any forwarding address “
“Really , okay Jane then she is always up for a laugh”
So the next night the girls put on their glad rags and the three of them went off to dance All night long
“Hey Jane Someone’s looking at you”
And The beat goes on
“Okay girls Dance stance” says Kate.
A young man approached the girls and his opening line was “ I wanna Rock with you.”
Jane smiled ” Better love next time”
He smiled back. “Baby I love you”
“Come on girls were here to dance” Said Kate. The lad looked sad ” It’s different for girls,” he said.
“Please don’t go “he begged.
“I’ll be So lonely” he said with a sad face.
Jane laughed, “I am with my friends tonight but Maybe Tomorrow we could meet up? “
Okay ladies have fun and Dance yourself dizzy.
