Why torture me so

Just because I can, you know

Fight back gentle one.

What is the answer

To the big question unknown

Clues to the wind thrown.

RonovanWrites #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry Prompt #Challenge #225 Strike&Hunger

This is my entry for Ronovanwrites Weekly Haiku Challenge.

To fight for my life

With raw hunger I will strike

I will not give in.

I strike out at life

Hunger is the only way

*Anna, my friend stay.

* A name for Anorexia.

RonovanWrites Weekly Haiku Poetry Prompt Challenge #224 Art and Compass.

This is my entry for Ronovanwrites Weekly Haiku Prompt.

ronovan-writes-haiku-poertry-challenge-image-20161

I cheated skittle and did a Haiku and a Tanka.

Nature draws a wide

Compass her palate is huge

Her colours every hue

With only the stars

To guide, man used the old ways

Travelling was an art

No compass yet discovered

Stars by night and sun by day.

August Stanza 30

It is August and so Jane is doing : a chain of images each one suggested by the last word in the preceding poem. They’ll be short, a single image of just a few lines. It will be interesting to see where it ends up by the end of the month.

Kat will be doing short 3,4, or 5 line poems no syllable counts of rhymes, starting with the word ‘August’ on the first day. The last word of the poem will be the first word of day two’s poem, and so on until the end of the month.

Finally I shall be doing all types of poetry but each poem will start with the last word in the preceding poem.

Today’s Poem is an Haiku.

Visions of love bloom

Hearts break like morning too soon

Lovers take flight zoom.

Grateful chorus of showers

Just Jot it January. Stream of Consciousness Saturday, Movement Ripples. Haiku.

This is my entry for Just Jot it January, and today being Saturday it is also Stream of Consciousness Saturday.

So our prompt for #SoCs from Linda of Life in Progress is movement. Now just to throw something different into the mix she has told not to use the actual word movement but to pick a type of movement and use that in our post. So do it, be creative but make sure you enjoy.

Ripples

The green grass ripples

Like a wave on a green sea

Sent from ripples spread.

Ripe, ready for the cut

The golden corn undulates

The harvest awaits.

The crowd rises up

A Mexican wave sweeps through

Huge ripples of joy

I love the morning

The crispness of the winter

The smell of coffee or tea

You and I cosy inside.
