Do join in

Come on  in  it is nice  to  sit  and  have a  chat  after  all  the  hustle  and  bustle  of  the past  few days.   I  can  still entertain  you  all  with tea  and coffee  from all over  the world not to mention all our cakes  and muffins  and  as Paul  calls  them sweets! Every single  one  is  calorie  free! Plus of course  we now have spirits  and liquors  to warm the coldest of  you.

If we  were having Coffee:  I would  say  welcome  and  do  come on  in , find  a  seat  and  help yourselves  to  what  ever  you fancy. It  has been a  very  busy  week  with  Just Jot  It  January    nearly into  it’s third  week and  all organized  by  the  extremely talented Linda G Hill   over  at  Life in Progress . It  has  been  very interesting  and  not  without it’s  trials! Worth  checking out  so  many talented  people  joining in!

Phew

If we  were having Coffee:  It  has  also been  a very  busy  week  in  the  real  world  too  where  I have  been  busy  getting  back  to  normal  after Christmas  and New Year! Back  to Pilates, this  term  with  a new class  and instructor. The  new  instructor  is  very  different  to  the previous  one, but I  do like  her so  watch  this  space. Also  it  was back  to  core  class. After  two months off  it  was  extremely hard!   Still I am   determined  to get  back into  my  routine   and  my  gym  buddy  L  is  up  for it  too!

Coffee Girls

If we  were having Coffee:  I  would  ask  you  would  you like  another  coffee  or  something  to eat? Today  is  a  busy  Sunday  as  we have  the hubby’s  mother  coming  over and  we  are taking her  out  to lunch. Not  only  that  but  I  have  a  coffee  morning  with  the  girls  I  used  to  work  with . There  is a  monthly  Sunday  Morning  gathering  at  one or  the  other  coffee  shops in  the  town. It  is  always  a  noisy  and  fun  affair  with lots  of  news  and  catching up  to  do!

Ho Hum

If we  were having Coffee: It  has  been  a  busy  week  with  our middle  son  finally  deciding   to  sort out  the  many  boxes  he has been  storing in our  garage  for years! This has involved  him making  many trips  to  the local  municipal dump! Unfortunately  for  me  he has  found  lots  of  his  clothes  that  he had  thought  he  had  lost  and  so  who  has  been  suckered  in to  washing  drying  and ironing  them??? Well he  does have  the  biggest  brown eyes!!

If only the rain would stop

If we  were  having  Coffee:  I would  have  to  say  we  are  all  sill  waiting  patiently   for  our  dear  Paul  Curran   to  rejoin us here at  the  coffee  share   but  until he is  well enough  and up  and  running again  we  shall  have  to  bide our  time!

For  now  everyone  Be  well  and  happy!

Female, wife, full time mother and Grandmother. I am not as happy go lucky as I used to be but I am still bubbling along on simmer! I have three handsome sons all grown and flown. The youngest married with a beautiful wife and two sons of his own. Back in 2010 I was working, running a home, driving and socializing then bang in a split second all that was gone. I had an accident at home. I broke my back, not for the first time, I had broken it 10 years previously as well. Unfortunately this time I had broken it really badly and it was truly messed up so I had to have two operations. I was told before each operation that the outcome could mean I spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Still as some guy once wrote "I am still standing " yes "better than I ever was " I no longer use the walking stick . I had lots of friends before the accident but when things like this happen, you loose most of them. Their lives move on and mine stood still and so they left me behind ...I know that is just the way life is but it hurt and always will. Then I looked around and saw those who were still there for me, these friends are the roses in my garden they need to be tended well. They are the diamonds in the dust. I will of been married 53yrs this comming year. I have found different ways to approach life, use my pain befriend it almost...yer right , well that is what they tell me at the pain clinic ROFLMAO ...... if only I could! I have found an outlet for my fears, frustrations and night terrors . I have started writing poetry if that name can be applied to my writing. I hope I do not come over as a moaning winger. I hope I am past all that. I also hope that you might see how the poetry is moving from very dark through the grey and hopefully in to light. My back is no longer straight it is C shaped because of the injury and I have lost two and a half inches in height but my Pilates and Core teachers have helped me to stand up as straight and be as strong as possible. Pain and depression are still hanging on my arm but I have weapons to use against them and if I say so myself I cope well. I have made lots of new friends, real diamonds. I am also very grateful for all the support and help I have encountered here on Wordpress. Hugs and welcome to everyone who visits.

  1. Nice having coffee with you, Willow! I LOVE that cat picture at the top of your post. It’s so great you have someone who goes to the gym with you. It does help to have a partner in crime. Best of luck with it and with all that laundry. Good thing he’s cute, right? 😉

      1. I suppose you’re right. But none of them have tried getting me to do laundry for quite a while, so they might seem a tad cuter to me. 😉

  2. Ironing them too?! I would probably do it, too. I know. I know. Soft spot. Very soft spot.

Rain, constant rain, brings me down. I do like rain, but not non stop for days and days. Just a day or two. I live where it rains a lot but we usually get a break in the rain every three or so days. Even a short break of an afternoon or morning with no rain helps! I hope it stops for you, soon!

    1. Yes sons there is no defence against them. As for the rain it is bad and there are terrible floods in parts of the UK but no doubt there will be a water shortage later in the year!! 🙂

      1. As I read this it nearly 10pm so I shall be plumping my own pillows soon . I am glad you find a haven here, if I have done or do nothing else I am proud to have made you feel at home!! 🙂

  3. You certainly have been busy! I laughed a lot about your son finding some of his clothes in the boxes he’d stored in your garage. Our son couldn’t find his sweaters for the last two years of college. I fumed at him, thinking he’d carelessly lost them or allowed them to be stolen from the laundry, and I refused to replace them. One year later, we needed a large suitcase to go on a trip, took it out of the storage closet and you guessed it, there were all of his sweaters. But I do like being the mother of boys!
