Before him stood another disaster.

Between you and me I believe that he

Really enjoys being stressed out.

Above the sun shines bright

Below rain falls down

On his sad head

Misery

Loves him

So.

Our Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “preposition” Start your post with any preposition. Bonus points if you end with one too. Enjoy!

This is part of Lindaghill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday. # SoCs.

Linda G Hill said : “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “clean/dirty.” Use one, use both, use ’em any way you like. Enjoy!”

Clean/Dirty Nonet.

Clean is the opposite of dirty

A tiny scratch on my finger.

I made sure I cleaned the cut

After six days dirt that

Entered my blood.

The poison

Spread, ran

Wild.

And it got much worse.💜 #SoCs.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS July 13/19

It’s Saturday again and time for Lindaghill’s #SoCs. This week Linda said:

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “instructions.” Write instructions for anything you know how to do. As detailed or as rambling as you’d like. Enjoy!

Instructions on writing an Acrostic poem. Acrostically.

If you want to write an Acrostic

Note one : it is not magic.

SoCs now that is different

Think of words that’s the intent

Remember it has to spell

Unerringly on the left

Correctly and make sense

Truly I’ve failed, looked dense.

In following the above

On the instructions given with love

None of you can fail

Soon your poem will done.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS July 6/19 How I got from Jimmy Choo to Can’t Chew and all points in-between

This week LindaGHill said :”Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “chew/choo.” Use one or both, any way you’d like. Have fun!”

Well it’s not been a good week. I have been struggling with a painful ankle and swollen foot for several months now..

I have seen the doctor twice and she has no idea what the problem is. So far she had recommended firstly physio and secondly a podiatrist. Both have long ,LONG, waiting list so for now I hobble. No one has suggested an x-ray … probably too expensive for the likes of me. Also there is probably a long wait too. Which means no point in buying a beautiful pair of Jimmy Choo.

That’s not the only problem I have had this week, no not at all I have not been able to chew properly. I have had nasty toothache which nesscessitated a visit to the dentist. Now I have a private dentist because it is very difficult to find an NHS dental practice who is taking new patients where I live. The upside of that is I got my appointment immediately and an x-ray. The upshot of the x-ray was three possible causes for the pain. I will not bore you with them. Just a thought perhaps I should of asked if they would x-ray my foot.

Recently I managed to get off the painkillers I was addicted to due to my back injuries so I cannot take any pain killers for my bad foot, bad tooth or even my bad back. I worried that I may start to get addicted to the over the counter pain killers too!
Anyway that’s how I got from Jimmy Choo to Can’t Chew and all points in-between. Oh!and there is one more link to the title the dentist is right by the station where you can catch the Choo Choo.

LindaGHill said “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “for/fore/four.” Use one, use ’em all, use ’em any way you want. Enjoy!”

My middle son plays a lot of golf and he plays very well to, if I say so myself. So I went with a golfing theme.

Today’s #SoCs is a little Golfing Nonet. Image from Pixabay

Before you take that first shot shout fore

Don’t blindly let your golf ball soar

When using a five or four

Don’t make someone’s head sore

So for goodness sake

Give everyone

A safe break

Shout out

Fore

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “open book, point, write.” Pick up the closest book to you when you sit down to write your post. Close your eyes, open the book, and place your finger on the page. Whatever word or phrase your finger lands on, write about it. Enjoy.

And so the Elders conferred. They spent the night in a huddle and discussed what to do with the child.

Wild and noisy as she was everyone of them loved her. In fact everyone in the village loved her. She was three now and the only child to have been born for thirty years.

Since the illness arrived that had made all the women infertile the human race had been slowly dying out.

Three years ago when she was born the entire village decided to keep her a secret and they had. Every villager played their part in raising her. Sadly her mother had died giving birth.

So the night passed deep in conference the Elders came to a decision. They would keep her safe until she was past puberty and then they would have to tell the bigger world out there that they had a , hopefully disease free female. Perhaps somewhere else other babies had been born and kept safe.

They announced their decision to the villagers at dawn. They all join hands to pray that his was the start of a new race.

This is part of LindaGHill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday, #SoCs. The opening line was taken from the workbook that accompanied The Silent Eye‘s 2019 workshop Lord of the Deep. My story has nothing what so ever to do with the workshop apart from it being the closest book to hand when I wrote this.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS May 25/19

LindaGHill said “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “rhymes with rosy.” Find a word that rhymes with “rosy” or use the word “rosy” and base your post on it. Enjoy!

Sexy Josey

Laughed at Rosy

Threw away

The lovely posy

Refused to cry

Or to even ask why

So nasty was Josey.

Deftly Bosey

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS May 18/19

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “adverb.” Start your post with any adverb and just run with it. Have fun!

Absentmindedly she sat in the café pushing the food around her plate. She had been sat there for over an hour.

Sighing deeply she was bored, but as she politely ordered another coffee she saw the mark arrive.

The adrenaline began violently coursing through her body. Feeling sexually aroused she bit her lip.

Quietly she approached the mark, as she passed him she clumsily fell into him. No one took any notice if the insignificant woman, who unseen by anyone injected the man on his mobile.

Elatedly she left Oh! That felt good, she loved the naughty rush of the kill… The handsome paycheck helped too.

Back at the café the mark finished his coffee and contemplated the rest of his day not knowing he had only minutes to live.

He got up to leave and collapsed loudly.

This little tale came to you care of LindaGHill’s #SoCs.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS May 11/19. Strain.

Take the strain

It’s worth the pain

We’ll never walk this way again.

Lose the slack

Don’t even look back

Tighten up we’re under attack.

Fight the stress

Your such a bloody mess

Keep it tight there’s no redress.

So take the stain

And loose the slack

Fight the stress there’s no going back.

This strained emotion came to your care of LindaGHill’s #SoCs.
