The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS May 25/19

LindaGHill said “Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “rhymes with rosy.” Find a word that rhymes with “rosy” or use the word “rosy” and base your post on it. Enjoy!

Cosy Rosy

Picked a posy

Took it to give

To sexy Josey

**

Sexy Josey

Laughed at Rosy

Threw away

The lovely posy

**

Cosy Rosy

Refused to cry

Or to even ask why

So nasty was Josey.

**

Deftly Bosey

Retrieved the posy

Presented it

To Cosy Rosy

**

Happy Rosy

Danced with Bosey

They gave not a thought to Josey

Who threw out the posy.

**

Cosy Rosy

Married Bosey

Happy couple

Pitied Josy

Thursday photo prompt: Faraway #writephoto

This is my entry for Sue Vincent’s Thursday Photo Prompt.

Faraway

Pink and blue

The sky’s new huge

Reflected in the sea

Breezes set my soul free.

——–

My eyes scan

The horizons new

Giving my life a different huge

Is this all part of the masterplan

———

A tiny speck of sand

I am held within God’s hand

He whispers in my ear

All my fears disappeare.

———

#writephoto

Turn round

Sipralling out of control

This life will swallow me whole.

I really am lost , no hope

Washed up lost can’t cope.
Each day presents challenges new

Puzzles and mazes to work my through.

Yet I can’t give up, I can give in

I shall just carry on, push up and win.

Thursday Doors: Being silly!

Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in on the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing it, between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American eastern time), by using the blue link-up on Norman’s page here

I was in town today and I spotted this shop door it piqued  my interest and a ditty took form that demanded to be written!

             Note on the door.

Thursday Doors what can I say

I have arrived and you’ve gone away.

What has made you disappear

To have you gone and have me here.

So I went on upon my way

Pondering where you went today.

I have not had much chance of late to find some interesting doors so here are a few not so exciting doors.

Now I wander what is behind these green doors ? I saw them last week at Greys Court last week when we went to see the the Blue Bells.

My oven, door, microwave door and slimline cupboard door …three for one photo in my kitchen. 😊

Finally a door with a fantastic view from our holiday in Florida back in March….. Miss it!

Okay I have been silly enough so I promise to do better next week!!

The Gypsy.

We saw her every day

Rain, dry she made her way

Never knowing what she carried

Moving fast she never tarried.

Once she smiled at us,like the sun

loveuary

Today is  Day 9  of  Loveuary. Shall we  talk  about  forbidden  love. Sadly in this  world there is  still a lot of prejudice. To  be Gay in  many  parts  of  the  world is  not only  illegal   but  also  downright  dangerous. I  shall not  name  these  countries as sadly  there  are  so many.

Also  in some  countries  it is  very  dangerous  to  have  an  adulterous  affairs…. usually  women  come off  worse, even being  stoned  to  death while  the  men  sometimes unpunished  or  maybe  flogged . Also  there  are  honour  killings , we  all know  about  these  too  so I  do  not  want  to dwell on  these  either  .

The  Nonet Forbidden Love  is  a new Poem,  Butterflies  of  Love, is  a poem  I  wrote  in 2015

Forbidden Love  A Nonet

We walk in  shadows  away from  light

Hidden we belong  to  the  night .

You can never hold  my  hand

A love  like ours is  banned.

People  must not  know

I love you so

forbidden

Is our

Love

Butterflies of  Love

On no man did she depend

Rather to herself true

She turned inward to befriend.

Tiny butterflies of love

Escape from heaven

Ecstasy pure as  the dove

Unspoken their lust did rise

Such joy forbidden

Taboos blown to wind and skies

Elusive : Haiku

To strive  and to dream

Every minute spent in chase

Of you goal, your keen

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ELUSIVE : ACROSTIC
Endlessly  chasing  those dreams
Longinly striving  it  seems
Unashamedly  fighting  your own quest
Steadily  gaining  ground  achieving  your  best
Instinctively  climbing  that  hill
Vieing   for  pole position imposing  your will
Even  now,  you know  the  elusive will be  yours .
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Elusive  Happiness : Poem

Happiness is  an elusive  thing

As rare  gossamer thread on angel wings.

Reach out  for  happiness  and  back it  springs.

Nay! It’s  not  for  you, you  human things!

Acrostic Poem :ADVENT

Angels bringing news of  great  joy

Ding dong  merrily  on  high.

Victory  will be here  soon , a baby boy.

Eastern Kings  follow  the  star up in  the  sky

Nativity in the stable, it was  the  only place

The light of eternal hope shines  from  the infants face.

Hedgehog in Reverse: A Poem

It  is  so  hard  to  stay  away   even  though circumstances  demand  I  must. So  Here  I  am  with  my  heart  on  my  sleeve  again. Just  a  quick  visit  to  get  an  annoying  set  of  words  off  my  brain  and out  of  my  heart.

9739f77602a3f673d4c0eafd65933dc1Hedgehog in reverse
It is such a curse
Deeper each day
The barbs don’t go away.

Piercing deeper than deep
Through my brain they seep
Sometimes they make me fall
Always they sting and make me small.

I close my mind to fears
When verbal barbs assault my ears
There is no where I can go
There is just no escape I know

Just Jot It January:Acrostic Compassion

Comfort me in  my  hour of need

Open your eyes and ears to me take heed

Mindfulness is needed here in the world

Pain and grief are like weapons  hurled.

All the  woes of  this vale of tears

Scream loudly in our ears

Sacred heart  give us hope

In you we trust , help us  cope.

OH! help us  to help each other

Now in our hour of need to love our sister and brother.

This post is part of Just Jot It January hosted by Linda G Hill.

Thanks for tuning in and if you want to join, feel free to click on the link and start jotting!
