What Day is it Anyway? Sunday, March 22nd, 2020 #WDIIA

Why is Linda hosting this post.

She said.”Because if you’re like me and stuck at home already, or if you’re going to be like me soon, the days of the week are going to be hell to keep track of. We have a wonderful community here on WordPress, and I’m sure many people are feeling nervous and/or isolated. I want to make sure every one of us has somewhere to congregate and someone to talk to.

Why am I writing this post ? Because it’s day Seven since we have been told by Bossa to stay home and socially distance ourselves. We are all in different circumstances and yet we are all in the same boat.

So today is Mother’s Day here in the UK . So I wish anyone celebrating Mother’s Day today a lovely day. If you are not celebrating Mother’s Day I wish you a happy Mother’s Day too.

I received a beautiful bouquet that arrived almost asleep yesterday. Today it’s looks so amazing.

Yes I do have three sons but number one son apologized profusely for not sending a card and anyway he rings or whatapps daily.

We were up early as usual, breakfast and then we took Ruby for a lovely walk. We went back to where we went yesterday and it was deserted again.

Home from the walk and time to check up on everyone, our younger nextdoor neighbours, two of my sisters, two or three friends on line. Then the boys all got intouch to wish me a happy day. Our youngest sent us a photo of the eldest grandson preparing the soil for growing potatoes.

Our other grandson was inside, playing paw patrol.

We had some lunch and then Hubby had to fix our satalite dish . That took about an hour, all good fresh air out in the garden. Then I took Ruby for a walk. I was amazed to find there were so many people out, old, young, middle aged, children, babies! Our prime minister had asked us all to stay in and keep a 2metre distance between us and anyone else? Well I had a real job keeping my distance , infact at one point there were groups of people from four directions. Ruby and I danced around avoiding them all. I have to admit though I was very concerned and I felt very unsafe. It is really getting to me, I was actually frightened, why were they all out when we have been asked to stay home.

Then our middle son popped round with a card for me, which caused consternation, hubby was not please and our lad did not come in, it’s awful when you are made nervous by your own son standing in your garden.

I know I promised I would not go on about it but it does worry me.

I feel so sorry for the homeless, they have nothing, no protection, no where to go they need help too. There is talk of some hotels opening up to the homeless I hope it is true.

The video below is a week old and not from my area, it’s from the north of England.

Another quiet evening, the evenings are longer than the days. Right let’s have a happy and positive song💜

Be safe out there.
We can beat this.

You know… you say: ” why were they all out when we have been asked to stay home.”
My response is: Why were you?
I’m not trying to be mean here… Because I know what you mean. They, like you, are trying to keep busy and get fresh air. We just have to cross the street when people come and find less busy places. Or stay in our backyards.

Dale, I was walking the dog, I really didn’t expect to see people in the numbers I did. We have been told we can walk dogs… Honestly most of them did not have dogs. I realize I sounded hypocritical . There were definitely more people than normal. No doubt it will be made clearer that we need to stay home. 🥴💜💜💜

Sweet one. I wasn’t trying to make you feel bad. And it’s nuts this whole thing. I imagine, like us, people are going stir-crazy so a walk seems safe. We just have to try and find less busy areas 😉

I know and we have found some quiet places , but honestly this afternoon was mad! Also people were buzzing of to the seaside, places along the south coast were ridiculously busy, and some places closed their carparks to stop people parking bas they felt too many people were there! It’s like they have all gone mad and going out to be out before they are not allowed. Which will happen if the don’t behave. I can’t believe it has come to this. Personally I’d rather say home. It’s gone midnight I best get to bed . Stay safe dear friend.💜💜💜

I can well imagine it must be disconcerting to find more people than you expect. And you are probably right – most were trying to go out before there is a curfew called.

In the news this morning warnings are going out, stay in or there will be curfew… Mad! 💜

Happy Mother’s Day! What a sad way to have to celebrate. But you did get to speak and enjoy your sons and grandsons. Your walks to the deserted park sound nice but I have to admit I would be freaking out with all those people on your second walk. I hope you find more deserted places to enjoy. Stay safe!

Willow, I understand your fear. It is hard to be bombarded with it every day. We go out for a short walk sometimes but not around people. We are also dreading going to buy groceries. Staying home is what we are told will keep us safe. Some people ignore the warnings and that is what makes it frightening.

Happy Mother’s Day. The flowers are lovely. It is nice to be remembered and we wish times were different. Your grandson looks so cute planting his potatoes! I hope you had a good day.
