Three Things Challenge #174

Welcome to Di from pensitivy101: The Three Things Challenge. #174
Every day she’ll give you three things that will hopefully trigger your creativity.
You don’t have to use them all if you don’t want to, simply read the prompt and see what comes to mind.

Your three things today are:

UNRULY
QUICK
BRUSH

At seventeen it was Jim’s first brush with the Law. The lads he hung about with were very unruly! The had all been dancing on car bonnets and roofs when the police car arrived. Everyone legged it, Jim was not quick enough and he was hauled off to the station.

After a long wait and a sharp warning he was let go. Luckily for Jim he was a quick learner. He is now a Detective Sargent and on his way up.

When he was in uniform he was not above making sure unruly lads got the benefit of the doubt. But nothing ever got brushed under the carpet.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS March 14/2020

Shelley Krupa

Our host Linda G Hill said: “Your Friday for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “wire.” Use “wire” as a noun or a verb or any way you’d like. Enjoy!”

Linda said wire so, as I have a busy and full weekend I have gone for a poem off the top of my head. It’s called Wired. It’s all about being on edge, trapped and ready to spring, stressed and caught. In essence a state of high alert.

Wire can also be a conduit along which electricity, our voices or even the internet can travel. You could be an electrian and you would wire a building. Or you could be an under cover police person, informant, or a spy wearing wire so catch a criminal or another spy.

Or you could be like good old Cliff Richard and be Wired for sound. Funny video, it’s not meant to be but it’s so dated …. It’s from 1981. Cliff sings of his love of music in this song and how it gets him through his day.

Wired

On edge, fired up, on high alert

Ready to pounce, alive

Quick to answer, clipped and curt

Flight mode set in four wheel drive.

Eyes darting here and there

Limbs electric itching to move

Stillness hurts so much it’s hard to bare,

Brain babbling , your off the groove.

Ready for anything, fit for nought

Your wired, on a wire, trapped caught.

And just for fun For The Birds. By Pixar

Just to prove wired, or on a wire who laughs last laughs longest.😜 Have a great weekend 💜
