Keep calm and…

You have got to try these 😀💜

Jane Dougherty Writes

In these times of incertitude and justifiable apprehension, we are all called upon to act sensibly and with solidarity. Some are doing just that, but there are others who are thinking about number one alone, and who will let nothing and no one prevent them facing the apocalypse with a clean bum.

There are many people now with several tons of toilet paper stocked in their garages and basements, under the sink, filling the attic. Many will be wondering how they can use it in the coming months and years or when their shopping habits go back to normal, whichever comes first. No need to worry about getting bored, though; toilet paper is extremely versatile. There are thousands of exciting recipes appearing on the Internet, as toilet paper replaces all the boring old staples like pasta, rice, and potatoes. Here are just a few of them.

Song Lyric Sunday.Give/Get/Take/Receive/Send

It’s Sunday again and time for Song Lyric Sunday, brought to us by our brill host Jim Adams. Our prompt this week for March 15, 2020 is Give/Get/Take/Receive/Send

Okay firstly lets go with Gamma Pulse and Give and Take.

Give & Take” is a song by Belgian drum and bass producer Netsky. The song was released on 16 January 2012 as a digital download in the United Kingdom. It became the first single from his second album 2. The single peaked at number 196 on the UK Singles Chart, number 30 on the UK Dance Chart and number 28 on the UK Indie Chart. Information here.

Gamma Pulse released this song in 2015.

My second choice is Alanis Morissette singing Receive

Alanis Nadine Morissette (born June 1, 1974) is a Canadian-American singer, songwriter, record producer, and actress. Known for her emotive mezzo-soprano voice, Morissette began her career in Canada in the early 1990s with two mildly successful dance-pop  albums.Afterwards, as part of a recording deal, she moved to Holmby Hills, Los Angeles and in 1995 released Jagged Little Pill, a more rock-oriented album which sold more than 33 million copies globally and is her most critically acclaimed work. Her follow-up album, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, was released in 1998. More info here.

Receive” is a song by Canadian-American recording artist Alanis Morissette, released as the third single from her eighth studio album, Havoc and Bright Lights (2012). The song was written by Morissette and Guy Sigsworth, and produced by Joe Chiccarelli. It is a rock ballad about a relationship in which one person gives more than the other, and the wear it causes to the people involved.

And finally memories of my childhood the wonderful Adam Faith singing Send a Message to Martha (Kentucky Bluebird).

Terence Nelhams-Wright (23 June 1940 – 8 March 2003), known as Adam Faith, was an English teen idol, singer, actor and financial journalist. He was one of the most charted acts of the 1960s.He became the first UK artist to lodge his initial seven hits in the Top 5. He was also one of the first UK acts to record original songs regularly.

Spread your wings for New Orleans
Kentucky bluebird, fly away
And take a message to Martha, message to Martha
She sings each night in some caf?
In her search to find wealth and fame
I hear Martha has gone and changed her name

It’s a year since she was here
Kentucky bluebird, fly away
And take a message to Martha, message to Martha
Tell her I love her more each day
As the train pulled out down the track
Martha promised she’d soon be coming back

Oh, tell her how my heart just breaks in two
Since she journeyed far
And even though her dreams of fame fell through
To me she will always be a star

Spread your wings for New Orleans
Kentucky bluebird, fly away
And take a message to Martha, message to Martha
Tell her to start for home today
When you find her please let her know
Rich or poor, I will always love her so

Fly away, Kentucky bluebird
Fly away, Kentucky bluebird
Fly away, fly away, fly away

Three Things Challenge #175

Welcome to Di from pensitivy101: The Three Things Challenge #175
Every day she’ll give you three things that will hopefully trigger your creativity.
You don’t have to use them all if you don’t want to, simply read the prompt and see what comes to mind.
Your three things today are: STABLE BOLT FOOT

Dave took aim with his crossbow. This was an easy shot, he held the bow stable and released the bolt. Sadly the pressure of the competition got to him and the bolt went wide of the mark and embedded itself in the foot of the tree.
