Thursday photo prompt: Keep #writephoto.

For visually challenged writers, the image shows the ruined tower of a castle, seen through the cross-shaped window of another tower.

The Keep

Nature needs not straight lines

It is only man who craves those confines.

Nature fills the sky with grey and blue

And the earth below with many a hue.

Man builds his dwelling with straight sides

Using what mother provides.

The shape of a cross in a ruin’s walls

Looks to a tower as it crumbles and falls.

Where once an archer stood

Shooting his arrows , true and good.

Now is empty and only cold winds blow

Nature blurs the lines bring beauty were she goes.

We will never know what secrets sleep

Hidden within the castle’s keep.

Very nice, Willow. I enjoyed this poem. I think huge (4th line) is meant to be hue?
