#WOTY Laughter/laugh.

My word of the year the one to inspire, it is a word that will keep me on track, the one to make me feel I have my Mojo back.

I didn’t help my funny bone, I neglected my happy,
By failing to remember, how to not be unhappy.
I forgot to tend to the need of mine to smile,
to exercise my face at least for a little while.

So in twenty twenty, the plan is to be,
The smiliest person, of any you see.
I want to laugh until eyes spring a leak.
To inject humour each time I speak.

I want back that cheeky I once had,
It got lost in the busy, replaced by sad.
People enjoyed my infectious grin,

Daily Prompt – JusJoJan the 9th, 2020. Scrumptious.

It’s Thursday, and time for the 9th Prompt for Just Jot it January 2020! Today’s word was given to us by Maggie at From Cave Walls. Thank you so much, Maggie! Please be sure to visit her blog to read her post and say hello. And follow her while you’re there!.

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 9th, 2020, is “scrumptious.” Use the word “scrumptious” any way you’d like. Have fun!

Scrumptious Acrostic

Sexily eyeing her up

Creepily watching her sup

Relishing her every move

Unrequieted love gets him in the grove

Maybe he should stand up and say

Proclaim his feelings, seize the day

Tasty as she is, she is only human

Intense as he feels he can

Only lay his heart bare

Unaccustomed to truth will he dare.

Say she is scrumptious, and he loves her.

💜💜💜

Now back in January 2018 we had the prompt Scrumptious from Judy Martin , I wrote that poem about food! You can read it here.

Thursday photo prompt: Presence #writephoto

For visually challenged writers, the image shows an old photograph of a pathway lined with standing stones leading through a flower-filled meadow.

Ancient Pressence

Do you dream in sepia do you feel the light

Do the ghosts of history visit you at night?

Is there more than we can understand

As the past and present unite joining hands.

Feel the pressence of those who went before

Spirits of the old ones knocking on your door.

Are you open to the truth they bring.

Will you dream in sepia or set. your soul to soar upon the wing.
