Daily Prompt – JusJoJan the 16th, 2020

Linda G Hill is here once again with our daily prompt for the 16th day of Just Jot it January 2020. Our prompt today comes from Dan. Thank you, Dan! Make sure you visit his blog to read his post and say hello. And follow him while you’re there, if you aren’t already!

Our prompt for JusJoJan January 16th, 2020, is “experience.” Use the word “experience” any way you’d like. Enjoy

At the moment I am not having the best of times. Experience tells me it will not last but for now things are tricky. Now on top of life’s mismatch I had a nasty experience this evening.

I had cooked dinner and dished up, while I was waiting for hubby to join me I started to wash the pots. Absentmindedly I popped a brussel sprout into my mouth I swallowed it Arrrrrrrrrgh! It was so hot it felt like it was burning my osphagus and my stomach, the pain as it slipped down my inners was excruciating. Not a nice experience!

Tomorrow I have new experience I am going for a Nerve Block , an injection given by a radiologist, they need to see what they are injecting by X-ray. Well as far as I am concerned the better they can see the nerve they are injecting the better the experience will be for me.

So , so far no nice experiences seem to be on the horizon. So I shall just plod along as I always do for in my experience that’s the only way to cope. Tell me if you have experienced eating something that’s too hot. What happened to you, did you survive.

Have you experienced a Nerve Block , if so please share the experience with me .

Thank you Dan for this prompt.

Thursday photo prompt: Keep #writephoto.

For visually challenged writers, the image shows the ruined tower of a castle, seen through the cross-shaped window of another tower.

The Keep

Nature needs not straight lines

It is only man who craves those confines.

Nature fills the sky with grey and blue

And the earth below with many a hue.

Man builds his dwelling with straight sides

Using what mother provides.

The shape of a cross in a ruin’s walls

Looks to a tower as it crumbles and falls.

Where once an archer stood

Shooting his arrows , true and good.

Now is empty and only cold winds blow

Nature blurs the lines bring beauty were she goes.

We will never know what secrets sleep

Hidden within the castle’s keep.
