It is Friday and Linda said : Time for your prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “ingle.” Find a word that contains “ingle” and use it any way you’d like in your post. Have fun!
Ingle has more than one meaning, from Scottish Gaelic the word aingeal meaning fire and light. To Paramore or sweetheart the origin of this is unknown.
Anyhow let’s see if we can have some Christmas fun with those two meanings.

Fairy sat in the inglenook next to the roaring fire.
So grateful was she to be inside, out there in the snow she thought she’d expire.
Father Christmas and the reindeer were on their way.
He it all to do tonight and he had such a full slay!
As he approached the last house he spotted the chimney imiting smoke.
This was the last straw he couldn’t cope.
He stood on the roof and stomped his boots
Come on Dancer and Prancer help me into my fire proof suit
Down the chimney once more
To be surprised to find his paramore
Santa was filled with happy glee his darling ingle to see.
All his Christmas Eve Delivery blues did flee.

This is a late entry for LindaGHill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday.

It’s a very old word but still used as in inglenook for fireplace, less so for Sweetheart or Paramore 💜💜
