IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE: JUST JOT IT JANUARY.

COFFEE TIME

Hello  and  welcome  come in it is lovely  to see you all here again. The fires are lit  the cushions are plumped up and  we have  the coffee and tea on  the go  and the cakes and sweets are all set out. Paul  and  his guests  are all here  and they are enjoying  the warmth , food and drinks. We  have  tea  and coffee  from all over  the world not to mention all our cakes  and muffins  and  as Paul  calls  them sweets! Every single  one  is  calorie  free! Plus of course  we now have spirits  and liquors  to warm the coldest of  you.

If we were having Coffee:  I would  tell you how  excited I am to  be joining  Just Gene’o   and Diana’s “If  we were having  coffee”  weekend  at    and also at . I am very  proud  to be part  of  his weekend  as I have been doing  a Sunday Coffee get together  for a good  while now  and my  good friend  Paul Curran  has  be a very  welcome  guest  poster having  his own coffee get together  alongside mine! Check Gene’O’s, If we were having  coffee  weekend , out  at  https://parttimemonster.wordpress.com/2015/01/10/if-we-were-having-coffee-the-inaugural-weekend-coffee-share/

I cannot  Tweet  my  coffee post Gene’O because I do not  Tweetin …a step to far, so far  for me! 🙂

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE: THE INAUGURAL WEEKEND COFFEE SHARE

If we were having Coffee: I would  offer you the beverage of  your choice  and of course  some of our out of this  world  cakes, pastries all calorie  free.

Amen

Then on a sober note I would  have to  say  how saddened I have been by this last weeks acts of  Terror in France. I have no  doubt  you are all as shocked  as I am. I wrote  a post on the attack on the  Charlie Hebdo  Office in Paris . I wrote  my  feeling on the subject  in  my post  Je Suis Charlie  , sadly  the  blood shed  did not end there  as  the murders  had accomplices who started up diversionary   tactics you can read about  these here   and  the end  of  the siege involving  the two remaining  men from the original massacre .    here  .

If we were having Coffee:  I would  have to say  how saddened I am by  the world, the human race  that is.  We are no better  than we were first crawling  and creeping on a virgin planet. So far  we have learned nothing. Like spoiled children we wage  war, hurt each other, some have it all some nothing   but we have not learned  to love, share  or even be kind! We have ruined our planet  and left an awful  legacy to our children  and grandchildren.

If we were having Coffee:   I would have to say  sorry I am getting  a tad heavy! Okay ..No  more  lets have some cake  and maybe  a liqueur Coffee  we can make any type  you desire!

Flaming Coffee

Yum Yum

If we were having coffee:  I would  have to ask are  you still keeping up  your  New Years Resolutions? Well I started back at  the gym last Monday  and my  friend  and I have  signed up  for extra ‘Core Lessons’ and  we have paid  for them so that is an incentive ! So I have been at the gym everyday  this week….. eek!  Also Friday my Pilates classes started  and Saturday morning my usual Core Class  started after a three week Christmas break! To  be honest I am sitting here typing  and aching all over! But I  must  just think of  the good it  will do me.

The Husband is  still not  back up to par  but  he  did have a larger operation than expected, and he did insist that we all still went away f0r Christmas  when really  he would  of done  better  to stay home  and rest. I am not  complaining I have really  enjoyed  looking after him. It  is a way  of  showing  him  how  much I appreciate everything  he did for me  when I came out of hospital  and had  to learn  to walk again.

If we were having coffee: I would  tell you all to make  yourselves  at home  go and chat to Paul’s  guest  and to Gene’O’s and Diana’s friends too. I look forward  to chatting  with  you all!

This Month January  is  Just Jot  It  January   run  by  LindaGHill  Well I am always up  for  challenge and I have done JusJoJan  before  and survived  so I am doing it again this  month/year. It  means I  must  jot out  a post  every day  of this month!……………….. eek! It is  a twofold blessing  not only  do  have to use  my grey matter I  get  to meet  lots of  new bloggers! I  hope  some of  them will come and join us  at our Sunday morning  get together’s.

IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE:  I would say  lets  go and see what Paul’s  guest are up to lets  all mix  and have fun.  I would ask you if you would  like
another  cuppa, or  another cake . !   If we were having Coffee  Original idea  from  http://parttimemonster.wordpress.com/

Female, wife, full time mother and Grandmother. I am not as happy go lucky as I used to be but I am still bubbling along on simmer! I have three handsome sons all grown and flown. The youngest married with a beautiful wife and two sons of his own. Back in 2010 I was working, running a home, driving and socializing then bang in a split second all that was gone. I had an accident at home. I broke my back, not for the first time, I had broken it 10 years previously as well. Unfortunately this time I had broken it really badly and it was truly messed up so I had to have two operations. I was told before each operation that the outcome could mean I spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Still as some guy once wrote "I am still standing " yes "better than I ever was " I no longer use the walking stick . I had lots of friends before the accident but when things like this happen, you loose most of them. Their lives move on and mine stood still and so they left me behind ...I know that is just the way life is but it hurt and always will. Then I looked around and saw those who were still there for me, these friends are the roses in my garden they need to be tended well. They are the diamonds in the dust. I will of been married 53yrs this comming year. I have found different ways to approach life, use my pain befriend it almost...yer right , well that is what they tell me at the pain clinic ROFLMAO ...... if only I could! I have found an outlet for my fears, frustrations and night terrors . I have started writing poetry if that name can be applied to my writing. I hope I do not come over as a moaning winger. I hope I am past all that. I also hope that you might see how the poetry is moving from very dark through the grey and hopefully in to light. My back is no longer straight it is C shaped because of the injury and I have lost two and a half inches in height but my Pilates and Core teachers have helped me to stand up as straight and be as strong as possible. Pain and depression are still hanging on my arm but I have weapons to use against them and if I say so myself I cope well. I have made lots of new friends, real diamonds. I am also very grateful for all the support and help I have encountered here on Wordpress. Hugs and welcome to everyone who visits.

  1. Wow Willow, sounds like you are serious about getting fit – congratualtions. I am so pleased that you got away for a rest at Christmas. You deserved it. I agree that the terrorism is horrible and those who have done it should be punished to the full extent of the law – it is sad that humans have to be so hurtful to each other.

Your post is great as usual! Have a wonderdul weekend.

    1. I am very determined to be fit and healthy this year! I have already said so much on the terrorism that I feel I had better not say anymore but it has deeply affected me . I am glad you liked the post Paul , and I wish you a very good weekend too! 🙂

  2. Ah, the weather is so wet and raw here, the cheery coffee cup with the little bear face is so welcomed. A little warmth is badly need after this week. An attack on those only crime is the use of words hit us all so hard.
Exercise is good for mind, body, and soul. Applause for your dedication ( and paying ahead – that is wise!)

    1. We are always please to help people relax and warm up! I am still so sad for those touched by the acts of terror! Yes exercise is good for the body and soul! Do drop by any weekend coffee is always on the go! 🙂 xxx

    1. Well having nearly been confined to a wheelchair , being told to use it or loose it is a big stick or is that carrot? What would Julian and Sandie think? xxxx

  3. Hi, Willow! Thought I’d stop by for coffee and let you know that I hope to make a return real soon. I’ve missed everyone, but the connection never waned. 🙂

    1. Hi Deborah how wonderful to hear from you. Welcome welcome !! I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and I wish you and all your family a happy and healthy 2015. Looking forward to your full return. Xxxxx hugs.

      1. Well, thanks, Willow! I got inspired and just did it. Feels good. I’ll have to keep at it. But once a week is doable. 🙂
        xxxxxx ❤

  4. Nice post, Willow. What a sad week it’s been.
Glad hubby is making progress. Hope he’s resting a bit anyway!
Thanks for the coffee, just as I realise I’ve none in for my first fix of the day.
