Daily Prompt – JusJoJan the 26th, 2020. Busy.

It’s Sunday, and time for your 26th prompt for Just Jot it January 2020. Today’s prompt comes to us compliments of Saumya. Thank you so much, Saumya! Please be sure to visit her blog to read her post and say hello. And follow her while you’re there!

Your prompt for JusJoJan January 26th, 2020, is “busy.” Use the word “busy” any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Mother in law last year on her 99th Birthday.

Today is Sunday and every Sunday we have mother in law over for the day and cook her a dinner or take her out to lunch at a pub.

Today we are cooking so I am busy. We also had to pop over to her house yesterday to sort out her phone…which when we arrived the phone was miraculously okay. Hey it’s only a 24 mile round trip. Today hubby will be busy driving 48miles on the four trips to and throw.

It keeps him busy, it keeps me and it keeps her busy too, as she likes to go out. Did I mention she is 100yrs old this year. We are busy arranging a big 100th Birthday Tea Party for her at a local Afternoon Tea Venue.

Anyway she doesn’t like it if I get my phone out when she is here , she likes to keep me busy giving all my attention to her! 😁

So I have to go now and check the dinner 💜 Have a good day and keep busy.

Just Jot it Jan Day 3, Poke.

Well here we are the First Friday in 2020 and today it is also day three of #jusjojan . As usual our lovely host LindaGHill is hosting this mind exercise.

No I noticed that by today’s date on Linda’s rules page is the word Poke.

The definition of poke is. To jab or prod (someone or something) with one’s finger or a sharp object.”he poked Benny in the ribs and pointed”

To poke the fire

Makes the flames grow higher.

To poke your nose in where it’s not needed

Makes people angry and rows get seeded

Okay I really don’t know why I am writing the above. Today I have to go into hospital for two small operations. I am nervous, I have had them before but that does not make it easier. Yesterday was a write off as I had to take some nasty medicine which has totally cleared my insides out. So here I am starved for over 24hrs waiting to go to the hospital to be poked about with cameras. I should be home today . So I will speak to you all soon. Sorry I really did not feel like blogging yesterday . Have a good day everyone, if you are at a loose end you could always go and have a poke around in your spare room or attic you might find something interesting, or not. But don’t poke an anthill or a bees nest 💜

# JusJoJan 2019 Daily Prompt – Jan. 17th

Our prompt for JusJoJan 2019, January 17th is brought to you by John Holton! Click here to find his last post and say hi while you’re there! John’s word for our prompt today is “Inch” Use it anywhere in your post or make it the theme of your post. Have fun!

Inch by inch we moved forward, attached by ropes around our waists. The ice was so cold we could feel it chilling our bones.

We inched on carefully watching for any cracks that might appear in the ice. The man at the front of the line signaled for us to stop and listen.

We all did, we heard the ice groaning and over that the tired howling of exhaustion. We all knew what to do. We spread out, those at the front laid down and continued to inch ahead. We further back held on tight to the ropes securing the men at the front.

We held those ropes tight we could not give an inch or they might slip and drown.

The howling was getting quieter now but we could not give up or relax our efforts. This was a valued member of our team they had saved many of us before.

The cry went up “Got her” slowly inch by inch we hauled her out. She was passed down the line across the frozen lake to the shore. As soon as she reached the bank she was wrapped up warmly in a moon blanket. And rushed off for medical treatment.

Later we visited her, luckily the Vet said she would be fine but the fabulous dog part of our team had been within an inch of losing her life! Even so she was soon back working with us again.

JusJoJan 2019 Daily Prompt – Jan. 10th Sunrise.

Our prompt for JusJoJan 2019, January 10th is brought to you by Toortsie! Click here to find her last post and say hi while you’re there! Toortsie’s word for our prompt today is “Sunrise.” Use it anywhere in your post or make it the theme of your post. Have fun!

I have used Imogen Heap’s video of Xizi because it encapsulates Sunrise.

Sunrise

Oh! glory greets the dawn

Gold, and blue colours born.

A ring of stones ages old

Awaits the Sunrise shrouded in cold.

We stand expectant hand in hand

We lean the lessons from the land.

Chanting words we close our eyes

Joining with companions and strangers we send our message to the skies.

In early December I was on a course with The Silent Eye. On the last day of the course we were up before Sunrise to drive a short distance from our guests house to Castlerigg.

We arrived at the stone circle shortly before dawn. Although it was freezing I was buzzing and warm. I was excited to greet the new day, I felt electric.

We were eight but we were not alone. There were three men there dressed for hill walking and wrapped up well. We spoke with them and they seemed like kindred spirits.

In my mind I christened them “Hobbits”, only because they seemed so at one with the surroundings and on a quest too.

There were also two young women tourists taking photos. They were a little bemused by us.

As Sunrise grew closer we invited the Hobbits to join us in our circle to join hands and greet the dawn. They did so willingly saying they were always glad to join a circle.

As we greeted the sunrise we chanted holding hands with companions and strangers. I felt an inner warmth filling my while being.

As we left I thanked the Hobbits for their company, they said they had been happy to share the moment with us and that our paths would definitely cross again.

One our way back to our breakfast we saw the sunrise in all its glory.

We did return to Castlerigg stone circle later that morning to finish the course. It is a stunning place.

Strangely Sue mentioned that she and Stuart had returned to the same circle at sun set and had met the three gentlemen again (my Hobbits) so they had indeed crossed paths once more.

Just Jot It January: Day Seven . Momento.

Our prompt for JusJoJan 2019, January 7th is brought to you by Tara! Click here to find her last post and say hi while you’re there! Tara’s word for our prompt today is “memento.” Use it anywhere in your post or make it the theme of your post. Have fun!

Momento of a special time

Bring happy memories to mind

Life was simpler then our lives entwine.

Golden momentos age like lilac wine.

Just Jot it January Day Six Master.

Our prompt for JusJoJan 2019, January 6th hosted by LindaGHill is brought to you by Sadje. Click here to find her last post and say hi while you’re there! Sadje’s word for our prompt today is “master.” Use it anywhere in your post or make it the theme of your post. Enjoy!

There are many meanings to the word Master. It can mean you are the best you can be in a skill, job or pastime. Or that you are in charge as in Master of Ceremonies, Ring Master, Gang Master. Also you can take a master class least by someone who is a master in the subject. There are school masters, master degrees, and old/ grand masters (as artist and sportspeople are often referred to)

My favourite is being master to a pet, thought in this case I think master is the wrong word as I see my pet as an equal a friend.

To

Master

Your craft is

Something we all

We strive to achieve

Maybe we will take a

Masterclass to gain knowledge

Being a Grandmaster is not

The only thing we should strive to gain

We need to be rounded people as well.

———–

Then of course there is the Masterpiece, Mastermind and the Masterplan

Just Jot it January Day Four. Enigmatic.

Our prompt for JusJoJan 2019, January 4th is brought to you by Virgobeauty! Click here to find her last post and say hi while you’re there! Virgobeauty’s word for our prompt today is “enigmatic.” Use it anywhere in your post or make it the theme of your post. Have fun!

I have tried an Acrostic Nonet today. I will try to explain the word within the poem. This fun, you know.😉

Enigmatic

Easy to understand it was not

No it was mysterious , strange

In truth it was fathomless

Great men tried to solve it

Most were just confused

All realised

The answer

Is the

Clue.

Just Jot It January. Day One.

This a very late entry for day one of Just Jot it January. This is another brainchild of the very talented LindaGHill

Today’s prompt for the 1st of January 2019 is to write whatever you want. If you have not already written about your new year resolutions, now would be the perfect start. What ever you do have fun.

As luck would have it I have already done that so I shall have to write about something else.

It’s getting late and I don’t want to miss out on doing JusJoJan. So I am going to write about the fact that I actually did absolutely nothing today. I got up early and walked Ruby, then I basically bummed around all day. There that’s not a particularly good start to this month’s exercise but there we are let’s hope I can improve. Here is a little Etheree.

Late

A rush

To create

I had no time

For contemplation

Poetic juices flowing

From were I just do not know

So I opened my mind and tapped

My phone’s screen fast, releasing the flow

Exactly where this will end I don’t know.

Ruby 💜
