Think Tuesday

Tuesday Haiku

Tuesday time to think

It’so uncommonly hot

In the shade cool drink

Today Tuesday is the hottest day of year so far for us here in the UK. It is 32 degrees Celsius but it feels a lot hotter. The there is a breeze but it is hot!

I took the dog for her morning walk at 6.45am and it was warm even then. She is suffering as like the rest of us she is not accustomed to this heat and even worse she is wearing a double for coat!

So far the dog, hubby and I have drunk enough water to sink a battle ship!

Talking of which ( Battle Ships) Henry VIII’s flag ship the Mary Rose has finally been put on permanent show, in all her glory behind a glass wall for all to see.

You can read about the Mary Rose here and the Museum here.

Well that was a little random! It must be the heat !! Still I hope you found it interesting!

Well I started with a Haiku so shall I finish with another.

Hot Blue

Look up see sky blue

Green leaves against azure true

The sun is so hot!

Tuesday: An Acrostic Poem

hiding-in-bed
Not yet

Tumbling, twisting  like a  tornado.  Such a  trial!

Under the  covers I  hide,no not yet I want  to stay  awhile

Everything is  too crazy out  there . Deep down I  hide

Seething  feelings boiling up  need to keep eyes open wide

Don’t put  the light on yet, leave  those curtains closed

Arc lights blind  me no  one listens to a  word I say

Yes,  yes  here we go  it  refuses  to  go away,  Tuesday.

Welcome Ruby, Tuesday

Dear readers  of  willowdot21

I  thought  I had  better  introduce  myself to you all.  I  am Ruby  and  I  am  a six year old  Blonde  Labrador . I  was  a  guide  dog  and  willow’s husband,  my  new  daddy,  has  been taking  me  for  play  walkies  for  three  and a  half  years!
My  owner  who is  blind has  got  a  bad  back  and  neck  which has  got  worse  and  I can  no  longer  mange her.  Actually  it has  been  nearly  a year  since  I have had  to  work  properly. So  the  Guide  Dogs  for  the  blind  who  owned  me  decided  I  was  no longer  able  to  stay  with  my  blind  owner.
First of  all  I  was  going to  be  retrained  to  be a  buddy  dog   helping  young  blind  children  to  get  used  to  dogs  like  me  ( I  am quite  special  and  can help  them  to  adjust) . Then  they  decided  that  willow’s husband  could  have  me  come  to  live  with  him  and and  willow!
I  love  it here  I  get  two long  walks  a  day and  lots of  running  with  the  ball, I have  been  out  in  the car  to  the  Grandmother’s  house she is  not  well  you know, she has  cancer..
I  have a  new  bed  it is  really  comfy  it is  made  of  Memory  Foam, a  new  food  and  water  bowl  and  I have  bought  my  three  most  precious  toys with  me, two  little  guide  dogs  and a plastic bone.  Most  of  all I  get  lots  and lots  of  love!
I  am not  allowed up  stairs  or  on  the  furniture which I  don’t  mind  as I  never  really  liked  stairs   and  as  for furniture  it is  not  really  dog  is it?
We have  had  a  busy  weekend  there were  lots of  humans  here  Sunday  as  it  was  the  Grandmothers  96th  Birthday …my  goodness  that is  old  even  for a  human! There  were  two other human’s  there  and I  could  smell dog on  them. They   promised  I  could  meet their dog   Monty  very  soon!  Also  there  was  the  Grandmother  and  my  new  Mum  an Dad!
The  next  day  was  special  too  as  it was Dad’s  Birthday,  it  was  quieter but still  special! Mum and Dad  went out in  the evening for  a meal,  they  promised  they  would  not  be long  and  they  were not  and I  being a  retired  guide  dog  behaved  perfectly.
I have  enclosed  some  photos  of  myself  for  you  all  to see I  do hope  I  meet  with  your  approval.
Lots  of  love  Ruby Willers  ( Guide  Dog, Retired)

Ps . I have  met  Vlad  he is  very  naughty  … but nice.  xxxx
