Tuesday came too early
Monday hardly went, being to surly.
A whole night of tossing and turning
Heart pounding stomach burning.
Thoughts and fears building up
Over and over until your brain erupts.
Nothing to do but start another day.
If only the fears would go away .

The darkness edged in slowly, un-sure quite where to put it’s feet safely without stepping in to something nasty. You know when they say night fell or darkness fell well that is just what the darkness was afraid of.
So gingerly, noisily darkness advanced from the horizon to wards me.

As I watched, all was going well until the darkness stubbed it’s toe on the side of a hill. That was it all hell let loose the darkness came crushing down cluttering and crashing around.
Shocked now I stood astounded unsure of what to do. Well how often do you get to see the darkness hopping around on one foot foul mouthed and dribbling? No you are correct it is not a common sight.
The most astounding side effect of the darkness’s fall was the shower, almost waterfall of lights and stars.Beautiful beyond belief all showery and starry. Looking out on what was now night it was strangely beautiful with darkness scrabbling around on the ground trying to get to it’s feet trying ( without success to regain 1 it’s dignity and 2 it balance which it had lost.. not just misplaced totally lost, not under the cushions or on top of the bookcase lost but proper painfully lost) .
Behind the darkness came the twilight tired and thin and looking somehow exhausted. Being so much more delicate and having better sight the twilight could not understand how the darkness had fallen the way it had. Then as it had done, many many times before taking a deep breath the long suffering twilight stooped down to scoop up the darkness.
The moon confused and annoyed was not sure if he was too late or too early… confused by the lack of dark, the night was annoyed and out of sorts. With all this going on there was not much hope of sleep. So I got up and made myself a coffee and dived into my kindle.
