Song Lyric Sunday.Cappuccino/Coffee/Expresso/Latte/Mocha .

It’s Sunday again and time for Jim Adam’s Song Lyric Sunday prompt. So it’s all down to our local coffee shop where Jims in the chair!

My first choice is “Another cup of coffee from the Beggar on a Beach of Gold album by Mike + the Mechanics, released on 6 March 1995. This album contained three UK hits, the No.12 hit “Over My Shoulder”, the No.33 hit “A Beggar on a Beach of Gold”, and the No.51 hit “Another Cup of Coffee”. All three songs charted in Germany as well, and “Another Cup of Coffee” was also popular in Russia; “Over My Shoulder” was particularly successful in France, reaching No.9. The album was certified Gold by the BPI for sales of 100,000 copies. Adrian Lee performed on this album as a session musician following his departure from the band, and this was drummer Peter Van Hooke‘s last album as an official member of the band as he left the band shortly after the album’s release. Information here.

“Another Cup Of Coffee”

And she pours herself another cup of coffee
As she contemplates the stain across the wall
and it’s in between the cleaning and the washing
That’s when looking back’s
The hardest part of all

And she always did her best to try and please him
While he always did his best to make her cry
And she got down on her knees to stop him leaving
But he always knew one day he’d say goodbye

Where are your friends
Where are your children
Is this your house
Is this your home
Does nothing ever last forever
Does everybody sleep alone

And he tears the business tags from his old suitcase
As he packs away the pieces of his life
They all love him but they always try to change him
That’s what happens when a girl becomes a wife

And she pours herself another cup of coffee
As the pictures leave a clean space on the wall
and it’s in between the leaving and the loving
That’s when looking back’s
The hardest part of all

Where are your friends
Where are your children
Is this your house
Is this your home
Does nothing ever last forever
Does everybody sleep alone

Don’t look back
Don’t give up
Pour yourself another cup.

“Taylor, the Latte Boy” is a contemporary song by Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich. It is based on their experience with a barista at Starbucks. It is best known for being performed by Kristin Chenoweth on her album As I Am  but was first released by Susan Egan on her 2004 album Coffee House.

The song details the infatuation the narrator has for the coffee boy at Starbucks. She introduces herself and takes various actions to be signs of his affection. She even goes to the extent of saying “I love him, I love him, I love him.”

Regarding the lyrics, Heisler said, “So many of the stories come from my own experience, my own life, I don’t think that much about it… A singer will call and say, ‘What was the motivation?’ I went into a coffee shop and met a cute boy. No Brechtian overtones.” Information from here.

Rabiosa” (English: “Raging”) is a song by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, taken from her ninth studio album Sale el Sol. It was written by Armando PรฉrezEdward Bello, and Shakira, and released by Epic Records as the third single from the album, on 8 April 2011. Two versions of the song exist; the English-language version, which features American singer and rapper Pitbull, and the Spanish-language version, which features Dominican rapper El Cata. It is heavily influenced by merengue and dance music. Shakira and El Cata, or Pitbull, sing about each other’s sex appeal in the song. information from Wikipedia.

For cappuccino let’s go for another love of mine Bollywood!

New Delhi, 09 March 2020: After receiving recurrent encore for Cappuccino song, one of the most promising singers of today, R Naaz is ready to invade hearts of the music lovers with a new Hindi song โ€œYaad Aayegaโ€ along with Abhay Jodhpurkar. This soul-stirring track is composed and produced by Sourav Roy and it is picturised on young yet promising artists Reem Sameer Shaikh and Sehban Azim. The beautifully written song by Kunaal Vermaa is full of unforgettable memories and moments that the couple cherished during the relationship decided by none other than the destiny. R Naaz, with her vocal marvel and mellifluous, does complete justice to the lyrics. On the other hand, the video of the song which is directed by Onboard Films is also quite captivating.Bollywoodโ€™s new crooning queen R. Naaz releases a new song โ€œYaad Aayegaโ€Bollywoodโ€™s new crooning queen R. Naaz releases a new song โ€œYaad Aayegaโ€Bollywoodโ€™s new crooning queen R. It has been a very special experience collaborating with some of the most talented people in the industry while recording this song.โ€โ€œYaad Aayega is a melodic track that perfectly captures what itโ€™s like to open your heart to someone and to embrace what might happen in the future. It sends out a clear message, โ€˜When one fell in love, how s/he goes through the phase of heartbreaks, how they feel about each other, how they conquer the melancholy feelings, and finally come back in the arms of the loved one. It is a blessing to find someone to love and life whole life with, and this feeling makes it even more special. And working together with them was indeed very gratifying for me,โ€ further added by Naaz. Information from here.

Happy Sunday Everyone.

I really liked the Another Cup Of Coffee video, even though the lyrics were very sad. Taylor really flipped her lever to bring her joy, but I think she was on the edge to begin with. Bite me en la boca I think means she wants a French kiss. Very nice music Willow.

Yes I didn’t comment on that one, but I did like the music, however being in a foreign language always is a distraction as it is like watching a movie with subtitles, which i don’t like to do and the video was a still picture which was very boring.
