With with the madness of a fool.
Eyes closed hope is dead.

March 4, 2021, prompt: In 99 words (no more, no less), write a story that includes sweet potatoes. It can be part of a recipe, meal, or used as a nickname. Where do sweet potatoes take you? The grocery store? The garden? Mars? Go where the prompt leads!
Dinner Debate
Are there sweet potatoes in this stew?
Yes I put two large ones in.
Well where are they?
They must of boiled away to mush, because you can see the colour and feel their texture.
But I like to see them physically cut them and chew them.
Okay I can fix that I can cook a couple more and pop them in before I dish up. Anything else need adding.
No there’s plenty of spuds, parsnips, swede, leeks and carrots.
How was dinner?.
There was a lot of sweet potato in it.
What? really! You’ve got to be joking!
God bless Ani 💜
He’s bringing tea and coffee through,
With toast and honey, biscuits too,
To pick her up when she feels drained…
And I thought I had got him trained!
*
I’m sort of glad, though, to be fair,
‘Cause, what with all the missing hair
She’s not the way she used to be…
And prob’bly needs more help than me.
*
She says I do enough all day
By keeping tennis balls in play
And warming feet and guarding doors
…And cleaning chocolate crumbs from floors.
*
It’s not enough, what can you do?
The years we had together flew!
We’d time to learn each other’s ways
Put so much laughter in the days…
*
But soon she’ll cross the rainbow bridge
And I’ll stand quiet by the fridge
And wait there for the final ‘treat’…
And know that love is death’s defeat.

The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is ‘Choose To Challenge‘. A challenged world is an alert world. And from challenge comes change. So let’s all #ChooseToChallenge.
We may not be together, we may be far apart.
You, my dearest sisters are never far from my heart.
We may stand on different shores separated by the sea and county
But we are not so far that words cannot reach you from me.
I write this to tell you I pray that you are free
We need to stand together to mend this world you see.
The way may be uncertain. We’re not sure of the road.
But knowing we’re together, helps balance this heavy load.
So Sisters near and far let’s all look up to our nearest star.
Reach out my sisters let’s join hands.
Together we we can lay our plans.
To build a kinder better place to put a smile of everyone’s face.
Today is International Woman’s Day.
Together we can mend this world I pray.
Naomi Wadler – 11 year old, Naomi Wadler stood in front of thousands of people and gave a courageous speech at the March For Our Lives. She spoke for black women, who are disproportionately represented among the victims of gun violence. ‘I am here today to acknowledge and represent the African American girls whose stories don’t make the front page of every national newspaper, whose stories don’t lead on the evening news.’
Be blessed whether you are man woman or whatever gender you choose or chose you. 💜
