What Day is it Anyway. #WDIIA. Wednesday 25th.

Why is Linda hosting this post.

She said.”Because if you’re like me and stuck at home already, or if you’re going to be like me soon, the days of the week are going to be hell to keep track of. We have a wonderful community here on WordPress, and I’m sure many people are feeling nervous and/or isolated. I want to make sure every one of us has somewhere to congregate and someone to talk to.

Why am I writing this post ? Because it’s day Seven since we have been told by Bossa to stay home and socially distance ourselves. We are all in different circumstances and yet we are all in the same boat.

This morning was the same as the rest of the week so no need to repeat it all. Let Ruby out, fixed breakfast. Took Rubyfor her walk. Though it was a cold and frosty start it was a beautiful day.

© willowdot21 all the cars are home.
© willowdot21. Me and my shadow.
© willowdot21 another quiet walk.

Spoke to my friend who is determined to keep fit, she had set up her gym equipment in her conservatory. Well she stepped on to the treadmill, slipped and fell and now has the a very bruised face and the biggest black eye I have ever seen. Hold on ! No relax I did not see her, she sent me a photo!

After our walk it was home to house work and hubby and Ruby were gardening in the backgarden. For lunch I made Hubby scrambled egg on toast.

So I spoke with my sisters Frankie and Teresa, Teresa told me that our brothers were well too. Heard from the boys too. This evening we contacted Hubby’s Mum and then our youngest son and wife and the two little ones video called us. It was lovely to see the whole family 💜

Time for a positive song ?

Stay safe.

Female, wife, full time mother and Grandmother. I am not as happy go lucky as I used to be but I am still bubbling along on simmer! I have three handsome sons all grown and flown. The youngest married with a beautiful wife and two sons of his own. Back in 2010 I was working, running a home, driving and socializing then bang in a split second all that was gone. I had an accident at home. I broke my back, not for the first time, I had broken it 10 years previously as well. Unfortunately this time I had broken it really badly and it was truly messed up so I had to have two operations. I was told before each operation that the outcome could mean I spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Still as some guy once wrote "I am still standing " yes "better than I ever was " I no longer use the walking stick . I had lots of friends before the accident but when things like this happen, you loose most of them. Their lives move on and mine stood still and so they left me behind ...I know that is just the way life is but it hurt and always will. Then I looked around and saw those who were still there for me, these friends are the roses in my garden they need to be tended well. They are the diamonds in the dust. I will of been married 53yrs this comming year. I have found different ways to approach life, use my pain befriend it almost...yer right , well that is what they tell me at the pain clinic ROFLMAO ...... if only I could! I have found an outlet for my fears, frustrations and night terrors . I have started writing poetry if that name can be applied to my writing. I hope I do not come over as a moaning winger. I hope I am past all that. I also hope that you might see how the poetry is moving from very dark through the grey and hopefully in to light. My back is no longer straight it is C shaped because of the injury and I have lost two and a half inches in height but my Pilates and Core teachers have helped me to stand up as straight and be as strong as possible. Pain and depression are still hanging on my arm but I have weapons to use against them and if I say so myself I cope well. I have made lots of new friends, real diamonds. I am also very grateful for all the support and help I have encountered here on Wordpress. Hugs and welcome to everyone who visits.

  1. so what day is it today….I’m still keeping tabs on them!
This morning a lovely young woman from my prayer group went shopping for me and got everything on the list (with a few slight variations) solid cheese rather than grated!! She also left a lovely little Gerbera plant which has been given a home in the garden.
I had messages from ex pupils from eons ago and local scrapbooker Terri.
I watched Tim Bentinck (David Archer in The Archers) on Facebook.
My friend from a few streets away also gave me a call and we discussed matters Gardening and I’m only half way through the day!!
Singing at 3pm with the nationwide Choir that I can’t remember thename of!!
Lunchtime chat with youngest son: concerns about refuse collections as the teams travel in close proximity…..how will that be solved??
Better get up and do something as I realise I’ve not yet made my bed !!!
    Chat tomorrow!!!!

    1. Well sounds like you have had a busy day already and filled with nice things and people! I have not done today’s #WDIIA yet just about too. I do hope your day continues as well. Don’t forget the Big NHS Clap tonight at 8pm 💜

    1. We have the same restrictions but we are allowed one walk a day for now. We are not allowed to be less than two metres apart from any one. It is a scary time 🌹💜
