Hello again! It’s time for the 14th daily prompt for Just Jot it January 2020. Today’s prompt was generously donated to us by Ritu. Thanks, Ritu! Make sure you visit her blog to read her post and say hi. And follow her while you’re there!.
Your prompt for JusJoJan January 14th, 2020, is “publish.” Use the word “publish” any way you’d like. Enjoy
I wish I was a published poet. I could write the kind poem that talks of love and life. To speak of shards and fractiles of light while travelling through this vale of tears. I think that, that is so hard I bet it would take years.
I wish I was an author a best seller I would pen ! I’d wow the critics and public and I’d never work again. Or maybe a screen writer a fantastic gun ho! script, a Gothic terror with vampires cavorting in the crypt.
I wish I could write romances , long painful arduous tales with women running barefoot after their men across the dales. I’d have beautiful nurses falling at the doctors feet . God help the poor patients who we never hear of …perhaps they are all asleep .
I wish I could write science fiction that would be so much fun with planet sized star ships with sonic missile guns. I’d have a charming captain who always knows just what to do , and evil, clever aliens with sexy females the human crew to woo. Travel would be in jet cars that work on voice command and no one would ever need to cook or mend as a replicator would always be at hand.
I wish I could write on politics …well no that is not true , because it is a nasty backstabbing two faced thing to do!
I wish I could write comedy I like to have a laugh, with lots of smiles and happy days I’d split your sides in half.
I wish that could write another verse or two but I have run out of ideas. What a twist of luck for you !
I wish I was a published poet. I could write the kind poem that talks of love and life. To speak of shards and fractiles of light while travelling through this vale of tears. I think that, that is so hard I bet it would take years.

Our prompt for JusJoJan 2019, January 8th is brought to you by Ritu! Click here to find her last post and say hi while you’re there! Ritu’s word for our prompt today is “self.” Use it anywhere in your post or make it the theme of your post. Have fun!
This took me an age to work out but after a while it came to me in the form of my present self giving my younger self some advice I would of appreciated or maybe not , who knows.
Anyway it’s an Etheree and I have tried to use the word self at least once in each line.
Self
Self worth
Not selfish
Know yourself well
My dear younger self
Do not sell yourself light
As I sold myself well short
No we cannot change ourselves yet
I as your older self will tell you
Know yourself, your self worth, be always kind.

Today is Day 31 of #musicalmarch and the very last day of Ritu’s musical challenge. It has been so much fun and quite soul searching.
Well I have to choose my last pieces of music and it has been so hard. Never one to shrink from a challenge I have chosen three.
First, and in no particular order we have Andrea Bocelli with Canto del La Terra. Such a beautiful song.
The second is from Maxwell with a Kate Bush song. A woman’s work.
And last but not least Immie my favourite showing her talent for building a song from nothing.
Sorry my video are not all showing you may have to follow the links

Thank you Ritu 💝💗💜

Today is Day 29 of #musicalmarch and today I want to share the Fabulous Dusty Springfield with you. Dusty was a wonderful singer and could sing any type of song, literally any style.
As a point of interest she went to school with my eldest sister, she was not the blonde Dusty then but redhaird Mary O’Brian.
I have picked two songs her very first solo record,I only want to be with you, 1963 and one of her much later songs recorded with the Petshop Boys from circa 1987.
I love Dusty’s voice it just got better with age. Hope you all enjoy 💝

Today is Day 26 of #musicalmarch and as it is Mothering Sunday I am going to choose my most favourite singer songwriter of all Imogen Heap
… Have I mentioned her before? ☺ Well maybe once or twice!
Well Immie wrote the most beautiful song about mother hood, new motherhood intact, shortly after the birth of her first child.Florence Scout Rosie Heap Lebor.
Here is the song and below are the words because I think they are important.
Oh my tiny human
At 05:08 you break me apart again
The space-time continuum buckles and bends
Around your every twist and turn
I can barely remember life before you
Came crashing in on that day
Crazy beautiful you
Blind me like the dawn
After ashes fell on Pompeii
Crazy beautiful you
A miracle, a mystery
I’m one short stop away from joy to misery
When the night becomes day
I give you my every last ounce
You make a pincushion out of me
And you can thank me later babe
You can thank me later, if I’m alive
How long can one live without sleep?
Still, I can’t stand to imagine
Life without you
Came crashing in on that day
Crazy beautiful you
Blind me like the dawn after ashes fell on Pompeii
Crazy bright beautiful you
Suddenly propelled so many light years from bliss
Completely unprepared
How can anyone deserve this?
I’ve tried, I’ve tried all the tricks in the book
I’m at my wit’s end now
Look here, what do you want from me?
I can barely remember life before you
Came crashing in on that day
Crazy beautiful you
From the ashes of Pompeii
To fireworks and champagne
Crazy beautiful you
You little devil you
Oh I love you so much
It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done
But you’re so worth it
Yes, you are
You little devil you.
