Form: Please take us on an introspective free verse journey”
Gone.
I did not know him
He came from nowhere
His hands open he took nothing
And wanted even less
No one really noticed him
As he made his way .
They cared less.
He didn’t change the world
No one listened, I didn’t listen
No one thought about him
I didn’t think about him
Yet when he left the lights went out.
I sat alone and wept, we all wept alone and wept.
