Female, wife, full time mother and Grandmother. I am not as happy go lucky as I used to be but I am still bubbling along on simmer! I have three handsome sons all grown and flown. The youngest married with a beautiful wife and two sons of his own. Back in 2010 I was working, running a home, driving and socializing then bang in a split second all that was gone. I had an accident at home. I broke my back, not for the first time, I had broken it 10 years previously as well. Unfortunately this time I had broken it really badly and it was truly messed up so I had to have two operations. I was told before each operation that the outcome could mean I spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Still as some guy once wrote "I am still standing " yes "better than I ever was " I no longer use the walking stick . I had lots of friends before the accident but when things like this happen, you loose most of them. Their lives move on and mine stood still and so they left me behind ...I know that is just the way life is but it hurt and always will. Then I looked around and saw those who were still there for me, these friends are the roses in my garden they need to be tended well. They are the diamonds in the dust. I will of been married 53yrs this comming year. I have found different ways to approach life, use my pain befriend it almost...yer right , well that is what they tell me at the pain clinic ROFLMAO ...... if only I could! I have found an outlet for my fears, frustrations and night terrors . I have started writing poetry if that name can be applied to my writing. I hope I do not come over as a moaning winger. I hope I am past all that. I also hope that you might see how the poetry is moving from very dark through the grey and hopefully in to light.
My back is no longer straight it is C shaped because of the injury and I have lost two and a half inches in height but my Pilates and Core teachers have helped me to stand up as straight and be as strong as possible. Pain and depression are still hanging on my arm but I have weapons to use against them and if I say so myself I cope well.
I have made lots of new friends, real diamonds. I am also very grateful for all the support and help I have encountered here on Wordpress. Hugs and welcome to everyone who visits.

Nicely written poem – I hope it hasn’t happened to you or anyone you love…
Thank you, I did have a troll harangue me for a time but nothing as heavy as I have read of lately . There have been a lot of teenage suicides as a results of this lately.
It’s really terrible. Teenagers do take things to heart so readily. I think there needs to be more support, specifically for this issue.
Yes you are so right but why is it so hard to find.
I have no idea…
No neither have I but I shall keep writing about it!
Wonderful.. I can neither understand, nor abide, cyber bullying or any form of bullying for that matter Thank you for shedding this light on the phenomenon and providing such support to any unfortunate enough to be suffering such behaviour. 🙂
Thank you, yes it is a terrible thing and it is getting more and more common, I felt I had to address the subject after yet another teenage suicide due to horrendous bullying. It is such a cowardly thing to do. I wish I could do more.
I hope all is okay in your part of the world Willow…
sorry I haven’t made it over..life gets in the way…
( I have been reading,…)
Take Care…

I really felt I needed to address this subject, with another teenage suicide yesterday I really want to say how evil and cowardly I think cyber bullying is. Thank you for your support Noeleen. hugs xxxx
Yeah, 100%
I also think certain social media sites MUST ban ANY bullies there and then, IP ban, so they can’t re-register. It is so easy to get banned, create or use a new email and come right back, Seen it on FB and Twitter…
x
Yes I know you are right, I really hope that something positive will come of all this grief!xx
As usual Willow it takes an event to prompt action.
Lets hope this girls life was not lost in vain..
Well said..
x
Yes Shaun let’s hope something good comes of this latest tragedy. Lessons must be learnt this cannot go on. Xx
Agreed, I think a LOT of it MUST come down to the websites themselves also. I hear the girl complained twice and nothing happened. If true, that site should be banned for ever.
x
I know sadly it appears that the God Mammon is more highly thought of than people!
WELL SAID!!!
Respect xx
😦
What?
I was say
we were discussing how Mammon ( the god of money) is more important than people. Hence the sad face!
Ahhhhhhhhhhh
Sorry 🙂
You will be 😉
😦
Scared
x
yes, scared, sad we need to keep it in public the domain!
Email me if you need to 🙂
x
No I am fine I am sad for the children and adults that have been bullied!
Yeah…
I had it a few weeks before I really started blogging here.
Some lads having a go at my disability,..I faced them up at a Celtic game. They seen me, not a sausage.
Tough behind a keyboard…as always…
I was more pissed off with Twitter. I had 5,000 followers and about 100 people complained on my behalf, NOTHING. I was told to complain, so I sent in what was said, nothing…I laughed it off, for kids, they don’t
x
Nothing worse than a troll or a bully hassling you, as you say not everyone can shrug it off.
Yeah, sadly..
I laughed and even faced them up..
For a kid, not as easy..
xx
Thank you fro shedding light on this huge problem that has taken the lives of far too many of our children. The cloak of anonymity allows far too many to bruise the souls of the innocent.
Yes it is a sad state of affairs that young children are being harried to their deaths by evil cowards hiding in their bedrooms behind their computers!
I called in yesterday and wrote an epic on this theme, but then just before I got to post it I lost your page, how annoying… Your poem is spot on Willowdot, the cyber-bullies are gutter slime, cowards behind a monitor but times are changing, the footprints that are left behind after such disgusting attacks are now being investigated.
I just hope that instead of talking about it, the politicians actually do something for a change, after all prevention is better than the cure is it not? 🙂 Those cyber-bully creeps make me sick, but for all those that indulge in these gross traits remember this, bullying is a weakness, it doesn’t show intelligence or worth and there will be consequences…
Andro thank you so much for showing your whole hearted support! I agree with everything you say, Yes they all cowardly evil small minded ignoramuses! Yes they be lets hope the politicians do something strong and swift to punish them, Yes may their footprints be huge and red and Yes may caught and dealt with. Thank you Andro have a great weekend!! 🙂 xx
Beautifully expressed. This is the issue that touches us all. Too much bullying and the resulting suicides have shaken us all. This must stop and I think here in Canada police force has opened direct links to schools where children who feel they are being bullied in school or on the web can talk to the police officer in charge discreetly and police can take action right away. Our police force and school officials are trying their best after so many teenage deaths to prevent any further tragedies. Lets hope for the best. Thanks for sharing. Take care my friend.
Cyber Bullying is a nasty growing phenomenon which we need to address and somehow stop. Too many young lives have been cut short. Only this week a 14yr old girl was driven to hanging herself. I applaud this scheme involving the police working closely yet discreetly with the schools I think it is an excellent scheme I feel that it school be the sort of partnership that UK schools should be adopting. Thank you for your support and I wish you a good weekend. 😉 xx
In Canada a lot is happening Willow. Province of Nova Scotia has just passed a cyber bullying legislation. The other provinces and territories have forwarded their recommendations in this regard to the Safety minister. Lets hope we might see a federal legislation regarding this issue pretty soon. I have reblogged the news from a Canadian police officer’s blog. I hope other countries like U. k follow suit since this is a very big problem. I loved your poem. Take care.
We all need to pull together and get this bullying squashed! It seems to be world wide , large places and small places too. It is all wrong. Lets hope they can trace the bullies by their IP addresses! Thanks for taking an interest!! 🙂
that’s awful sweet friend ~ Sorry you had this unnecessary situation ~ Hope its stopped.
Thank you I was tolled once that is how I knew how this can effect people. Yet the poem is about how cyber bullying affects young children, teenagers and young adults. There has been a spate of teenage suicides, the problem is escalating and needs to be seriously and swiftly dealt with. There was another 14yr old girl who was driven to hanging herself, in the UK this week. We need to draw attention to this terrible situation. Thank you for your care be well and happy. Xxx
this is one of the best works I have read about cyber bullying Willow, came here from Samina’s blog. Its an amazing piece, so true and so well written.
Thank you it is a subject I feel very strongly about. Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment. I have written quite a few post on the subject. Here are tthree more if you are interested.
This is very well written. Thank you for increasing awareness about cyber bullying. I am a therapist who has counseled many victims of this. It is a huge problem!
It is a huge problem, I was bullied at school and for a while in the work place. It is a long time since I was at school so there was no cyber bullying then….. thank goodness home was my safe haven and school holidays my refuse. Today there is no escape for these poor young souls. The bullies get inside their heads. I have written two poems on cyber bullying also one on my experience as child.
I have also tried to address mental abuse in relationships. I am glad to have met you and to know there are people who care. Good luck to you in your work and your life. Thank you for your kind words on my post. Be well and be happy. 😉

Hey xx
I just blogged this, like tonight, on the back of this today http://news.sky.com/story/1126220/teen-suicide-site-does-not-condone-bullying
It is happening too often now. Parents must look more and these sites MUST moderate better..

Yeah, 100%
