Ronovanwrite’s chose the word LOOK this week’s Décima. If you want to combine it with your Haiku from Monday’s Haiku Challenge prompt of (FURY & SLOW)

Décima The furies
A slow burn like dying embers
Though it carries the highest heat
Slipping away in to defeat
Slow fury stirs and remembers
Forgotten cold from Decembers
Don’t let it die by hook or crook
Into those yellow eyes don’t look.
Medusa and her furies stand
Hungry like dogs devour the land
Resistance they will never brook

It is hard not to look into those eyes. I like your description of the consequences of doing so – hungry dogs devouring the land.

Yes I do like the dramatic, really she only supposed to turn you to stone ( did I actually say only) the hungry dogs sounds more exciting 💜
