Three things Challenge #356

Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
For those of you unfamiliar with the challenge, every day Di at pensitivity101 lists three things that may, or may not, be related.
The challenge is to simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you, using one, two or all three words in your post. There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
You can use the 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and the logo if you wish

Your three things today are:

HOST
FUN
TIME

“Tonight your host is Ca Rona, she is delighted you could all come. She hopes you will have fun. Laughing, dancing, singing, smooching and kissing are the order of the night.
Ca has prepared all the food and drink for you to enjoy , every morsel touched by her personally.
So what’s the saying? Oh! Yes, ‘eat drink and be merry for tomorrow you die’ maybe not tomorrow but soon. Time is running out for you all.
Yes of course you can leave any time , go home to your families, go to work, go shopping, give everyone Ca Rona’s greetings. Tomorrow there’s a beach party your all welcome. Times a ticking …so is CA Rona.

sadly we can only blame ourselves.

Two sides to every story your actions have consequences.

This sombre piece was bought to you courtesy of pensivity101’s Three things challenge.

Stream of Consciousness Saturday

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “collar.” Use it as a verb, a noun, or metaphorically. Bonus points for using it in all three ways! Enjoy!

Now there’s the ambiguous Dog Collar, that can mean a collar for a dog or a colour for for a vicar or priest. So that is our noun.

Or we could go down the police line , so we would get a verb. To collar, to arrest someone for a criminal act, you can say you felt someone’s collar, that is also an arrest! Also the past tense ” he collared the suspect.

There is also the good old fashioned collar on, a shirt a dress a coat. That like the top paragraph is a noun.

And here a metaphorical Tanka.

Tight around her neck

Like a noose sapping her air

Her badge of office

At births, deaths and marriages

It was always on there on show.

I think that fulfills the prompt .

This silliness was brought to you for LindaGHill’s Saturday Stream of Consciousness.
