To all you appear to be gold.
Ever ready to lend a hand.
Always helpful, kindness your brand.
Behind closed doors your eyes grow cold.
The real you begins to unfold.
Tempers flair and you become the beast.
I fear your demons when released.
Why do I keep your black secret.
There is no escape just regret.
I cower silent at your feast.

It’s all in the thrill of the chase.
After swinging hips my legs pound.
Playing with me my feelings ground.
By day and night at such a pace.
Life’s good unless you fall from grace.
I never really want to win
It’s the chase that sets me to spin.
Though this one might be different.
This one just might be heaven sent.
Maybe I’ll ask to marry him.

Like Dice

Altered carbon and stardust we
Play along the vast universe
Then, thrown like dice it is a curse.
Untethered by mortality
We glide about the galaxy.
Waiting patiently to be called
To join race and be enthralled.
Spiralling down we fall to earth
With pain we experience birth.
To start anew until recalled.

Swaying in the wind root and branch.
Time dances endlessly along
Punctuated by song bird’s song
All is written noughts left to chance.
The Forrest sees all of life’s dance.
Nature likes to watch the eons chase.
Across her planet at such pace.
She knows her cycle will repeat
Winter’s bitter cold, Summer’s heat.
Nature is happy by God’s grace

Like a rumble in the jungle
A whirring, bumbling joyful noise.
Fleas busy showing off their poise.
A heaving seaving big bundle.
Singing up a joyful roundel.
Ruby’s distracted by her nose.
She hears the rumble as it grows.
Her nose is busy a twitching
Those fleas are busy a scritchin.
I hear a sneeze and out they blows.

If you eat behind a closed door.
Pretending to the world your not.
You may bloat and your skin erupt.
Sadness or whatever the cause.
Comfort eating expands your flaws.
Dirty plates tell the sordid tale.
Of how you’ve tried and how you fail.
It makes no matter how you try.
The calories just multiply.
Losing weight makes you want to wail.

As twylight falls he comes to me
His cold touch stirs my broken soul.
Lust begs he devour me whole.
Grateful we share Mortality.
We’re coupled for eternity.
Willingly I bend to his will.
He draws blood I enjoy it still.
Bodies joined in macabre dance.
Pleasuring each other we prance.
In ecstasy our screams are shrill.

A culinary tale of woe
An abject lesson for us all
There is no morsel that’s so small.
That will not put weight on you so.
Fat hugs you and will not let go.
You should remember to take stock.
Calorie counts can be a shock.
So loving meringue is just fine
But don’t eat too much at one time.
Just keep the desserts under lock.

Here I’m trapped in this lonely place
Tied and bound to dance to their tune.
Hope gone, a soldier of fortune.
It’s me, not you here at God’s grace.
Fear creeping at relentless pace.
Morphious brought as injection.
This place spreads dread as infection.
Keys jangle in the dead of night.
Wings being clipped no hope of flight.
Give out the pills like confection.

Midas Ache.

She was left wanting from the start.
From her first breath she was needy.
Misunderstood and thought greedy.
So much emptiness in her heart.
She kept this secret, being smart.
Relationships, never lasted.
Through feasting times she fasted.
Try as she may she was
shadowed
Sadness and pain from her soul flowed.
Hopes out of the waters blasted
