Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 68: (BEACH) in the A rhyme line.

Olympic Surfing.

Sadly to me it’s out of reach
New disaplines are now out there.
Fast, dangerous so have a care.
Let’s go to Tsurigasaki beach
The excitement my skin will bleach.
I need to see the surfers fly
Below blue sea, above blue sky
Giant waves lift and carry dreams.
The odd wipeout brings shouts and screams .
No idea how the judges score
Huge waves, water funnels and more.
To win gold medals they all try.

I have linked it to my Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Haiku Challenge.

Word on the street is change the rules.
Masks not needed, but wear your mask.
Get it wrong we’ll take you to task.
Infection, running rife in schools.
We’re fed dross from the mouths of fools.
Ping , now you have to stay off work.
Says the bloke in Peerage by Burke.
We’ve lost our paddle up the creek.
Now,’s not the time in faith to leap.
Why are we trusting such a jerk?

I am dismayed at the state of our country at the moment, our leaders are rudderless.

Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 65: (GO) in the B rhyme line.

Parliament still leads the dance
Question is should masks stay or go.
They’re also stopping lateral flow.
Go into work now take a chance.
Coughs on transport get sideways glance.
No longer heed the Delta strain
Rishi Sunak is out for gain.
So rules will be relaxed we smile.
As confusion reigns all the while.
As our safety goes down the drain !

This is my entry for Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Décima. I have link my Décima to my Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Haiku Challenge.

Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 64: (CLAP) in the A rhyme line.

I have chosen to link my Décima to my Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Haiku Challenge from Monday. Tender and Who.

Summer lays a tender trap
Long days soon begin to shorten.
Soon another season portents
As rainstorms flash and thunder clap.
Soon hail upon our windows tap.
Flowers who once stood tall and proud
Now wilt and wain under grey cloud.
Sadly nothing lasts forever
So perfidious our weather
Summers soon wrapped in Autumn’s shroud.

Birds on a wire

Gaia has an amazing choir
Birds, crickets, foxes felines
All singing along for their crimes.
They all set the world on fire
Yes its a glorious pyre.
Nature’s operatic showtime
As the sun sets or rises, fine.
On a high wire full of zip
Joyously on life’s happy trip.
Gaia’s all celebration time.

My Décima is linked to my entry for Ronovanwrite’s Weekly Haiku you can find it here. I have chosen a sad subject this week. Cohesive Abuse. It affects both men and women. We must be aware and not close our eyes to it.

Your cohesive behaviour
Has me cowering in corners
Fearing your return, such tortures..
Lost I submit to your power.
Wilted buds, I’m a dead flower.
You have cut me down blow by blow
You eat my heart, I bleed out slow.
You are everyone’s friend but mine
Can’t please you, it’s a waste of time.
Just us now , your venom will flow..

Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 60: (Black) in the A rhyme line.

You may, if you wish, make some kind of link between the Haiku Challenge prompt of (AIR and Wisp). and this Décima Challenge of BLACK in the A rhyme lineThis means you could write a haiku post using the prompt words. Then do a Décima post using this week’s prompt uniting the two with a common message.
The 2 CHALLENGES are SEPARATE but CAN BE combined if YOU CHOOSE to do so.

Could this magic be white or black.
A willow the wisp touches base
As it gently kisses your face.
You take the less obvious track.
You eyes open to all you lack.
Truly there’s magic in the air.
As this little sprite shows her flare.
Brushing over your face and soul.
Un-beknownst she owns you whole.
Dreamily you walk upon air.

Nature plays with us blurring lines.
Softening the edges she plays
Running down the seasons and days.
Moving through our lives changing times.
It’s madness no reason or rhymes.
Racking up to experience
The seasons change with decodence
It’s like they’re laughing tongue in cheek
At us lowly mortals so meek.
Nature’s law takes all presidence.

The 2 CHALLENGES are SEPARATE but CAN BE combined if YOU CHOOSE to do so. I chose to this week.

To all you appear to be gold.
Ever ready to lend a hand.
Always helpful, kindness your brand.
Behind closed doors your eyes grow cold.
The real you begins to unfold.
Tempers flair and you become the beast.
I fear your demons when released.
Why do I keep your black secret.
There is no escape just regret.
I cower silent at your feast.

It’s all in the thrill of the chase.
After swinging hips my legs pound.
Playing with me my feelings ground.
By day and night at such a pace.
Life’s good unless you fall from grace.
I never really want to win
It’s the chase that sets me to spin.
Though this one might be different.
This one just might be heaven sent.
Maybe I’ll ask to marry him.
