Photo prompt June 11 to June 17, 2019:
She had seen it all. Witnessed the sordid things they had done. Now there was nothing left to see. Infront of her wasteland, to either side and behind her nothing was left.
It was strange only her tower remained. She smiled, though you would not of been able to look at her face it had been shot away years previously. ………
She hovered above the the only remaining building,her church, looking at her defaced statue, she sighed . No point in being here any longer. She had tried hard, prayed for them all to the bitter end. They were all gone now.
She heard a voice in the distance “Mother please come home now”
Why not she though there was nothing to stay for now.
As she left she pulled the statue from its ledge, as it fell she whispered. ‘ they tried to make me a false idol.

I’ve done over 1000 words today on Corona.. after 700 words i realised that the corona is related to the sun not the moon. Hence the man in the moon and the solar eclipse.. oops!
