Why Facebook Why?

Okay guys buckle up I about to have a rant. This week Facebook had stopped me from sharing any of my post from my blog? Apparently I am not alone they have also barred Annette Rochelle Aben and Ellen Best, all three of us can no longer share our blog posts on Facebook. Our crime is that our posts “Go Against Facebook Community Standards” ?

Why I hear you ask, have you been racist, radical, offering strange cooking lessons, advocated suicide self harm or other horrible things that I do not care to write down. No Annette Rochelle Aben was sharing daily angels I believe, Ellen Best’s post was about a Whale and my sin was to share two of my older posts on depression.

I am at a loss as to why this has happened.

Trying to get hold of anyone at Facebook is impossible in fact as I have said on Facebook it is easier to get a camel through the eye of a needle then it is to breach their closed doors.

I have submitted four appeals against my (all now blocked posts) and regularly checked my security box to find no new mail and the four enquiries I had sent marked X and “Closed” .

Ellen and I even went through Facebook Debugger no answer from them to either of us!

This is upsetting because even though I can read posts and comment in fact do anything but share. I belong to three groups and now I cannot share my blog like everyone else.

I am upset and angry for Annette, Ellen and myself. Please if you know how to get hold of Facebook we would be very grateful.

Hugs to all willow with clipped wings.😪

Female, wife, full time mother and Grandmother. I am not as happy go lucky as I used to be but I am still bubbling along on simmer! I have three handsome sons all grown and flown. The youngest married with a beautiful wife and two sons of his own. Back in 2010 I was working, running a home, driving and socializing then bang in a split second all that was gone. I had an accident at home. I broke my back, not for the first time, I had broken it 10 years previously as well. Unfortunately this time I had broken it really badly and it was truly messed up so I had to have two operations. I was told before each operation that the outcome could mean I spend the rest of my life in a wheelchair. Still as some guy once wrote "I am still standing " yes "better than I ever was " I no longer use the walking stick . I had lots of friends before the accident but when things like this happen, you loose most of them. Their lives move on and mine stood still and so they left me behind ...I know that is just the way life is but it hurt and always will. Then I looked around and saw those who were still there for me, these friends are the roses in my garden they need to be tended well. They are the diamonds in the dust. I will of been married 53yrs this comming year. I have found different ways to approach life, use my pain befriend it almost...yer right , well that is what they tell me at the pain clinic ROFLMAO ...... if only I could! I have found an outlet for my fears, frustrations and night terrors . I have started writing poetry if that name can be applied to my writing. I hope I do not come over as a moaning winger. I hope I am past all that. I also hope that you might see how the poetry is moving from very dark through the grey and hopefully in to light. My back is no longer straight it is C shaped because of the injury and I have lost two and a half inches in height but my Pilates and Core teachers have helped me to stand up as straight and be as strong as possible. Pain and depression are still hanging on my arm but I have weapons to use against them and if I say so myself I cope well. I have made lots of new friends, real diamonds. I am also very grateful for all the support and help I have encountered here on Wordpress. Hugs and welcome to everyone who visits.

    1. I really don’t understand it did you type my URL or the WordPress Me .it just will not let me on . I am frightened to try sharing anyone’s work incase it bans them too 🤔

  1. This is another reason why I deleted my Facebook account in January. In my eyes it’s a dead duck and too big for its boots. Sorry you’re having trouble, Willow x

  2. Although I deleted my Facebook account two years ago, Willow, I’m sure I did read somewhere that Facebook had stopped instant blog feeds onto their platform. I think it had something to do with money! However, I thought people were still able to cut and paste the URL of their blog post to their Facebook page. It has to be done every time you publish a new post. Have you tried that method?

  3. Glad I’m not on it. My WP blog is my only ‘social media’ and I’m happy to keep it that way.
Family are on FB, but no-one ever contacted me anyway, so there’s no point for me.

  4. I wouldn’t even know if my blog posts still go automatically to FB. If I can’t find the saved link I can’t remember how to get in. Just ignore it. Family send messages through messenger if they have anything to tell me, and I can live without seeing photos of what my cousin ate last night. FB is a useless tool.

    1. I agree but I have always just used this Facebook account to promote my blog it’s just annoying I don’t use it for family or anything else 🤔

  5. Facebook seem to be a law unto them selves, there are plenty of posts about depression and suicide awareness that haven’t been blocked which are important for people to share and try to understand and yet they continue to allow anti minority posts and despite complaints they still remain

    1. I know it’s all too stressful and stupid. I just used the account to keep up with the blogger’s Bash and a couple of sharing groups but if I can share o shall leave… ######@# Facebook 💜😜😜💜

  6. When FB decided you could only automatically share your posts if you have a page. No thanks. I have a food page, I’m not creating another just to share automatically my posts!
But how strange you cannot share your URL?

    1. Dale, I wasn’t aware that this is the case as I frequently share my Gabrielle Ray posts onto my main account which I did well before having a separate page

      1. Until relatively recently, my blog posts automatically shared to Facebook (and LinkedIn and Twitter and, until May, Google+). I don’t know why it was decided that you could no longer do so unless you had a page (like a business). I copy my URL into Facebook, it just sucks that I have to make the extra effort!

      2. Facebook will not allow me to share any which way! Every way I try it just says ” content against community standards people have reported words in content” I can post on any other platform..too weird! 😜💜 You know is me rude crude and subversive 💜💜

  7. I don’t understand it, either, Willow. My posts still appear on both of my Facebook pages. I have a separate page just for my website, and it then “shares” all my posts to my personal page, and I then “share” publically. So far, I haven’t had to manually cut and page the post URL to either site, but I’m sure that’s coming. Your posts are informative and helpful, not “abusive.” I would have thought my recent post with the toilet paper photo could have been considered offensive, but that got through just fine. I hope you manage to get the situation straightened out somehow.

  8. Facebook sucks. There’s no method to anything they do except to make money for people at the top. I used to report blatant abuse & they didn’t care… obviously abusive, racist, and fake accounts were left alone to harass people. I dumped all their products a year ago & do not miss the stress.

  9. This happened to us two weeks ago. After much checking, WP and FB, I managed to find a help screen and pleaded our case. They said they would investigate, but didn’t sound hopeful. A week later, our posts started appearing again.
Don’t just accept their decision, keep trying, as this should be stopped…

    1. Thank you so much for your support, it’s so difficult to get hold of Facebook! I shall keep trying because as you say this is not right 💜💜

    1. I am shocked but angry. Ellen Best, Annette Rochelle and myself have been bombardeding Facebook from every direction but they are totally ignoring us . Ignorant gits! But we won’t give up.

  10. How annoying. I have no clue with facebook. I have a face book page. I am often torn to shutting it all down as facebook arent the best of companies and you cant get hold of anyone and nothing is easy or simple to sort out .

It is crazy that your blog posts are banned..random.. and well do facebook have a clue.

    Hugs..

  11. Willow, I rarely log into FB anymore – have come to completely distrust it. Sorry to hear they’ve done this to you. My cousin is now banned from FB because someone else with the same name in a different state posted something that made FB believe he’s not a real person! Very ridiculous, and he too hasn’t been able to do anything about it. I hope you get your problem resolved. Sounds maddening! 😵

    1. Yes it is very annoying but if it continues I will leave Facebook
Sorry to hear about your cousin has he thought of deleting his page and starting again.💜

      1. No, I think he decided it wasn’t worth the trouble. I would delete my own account there but it’s my only connection to some family members and old friends from school. No one wants to email these days – for some it’s FB or nothing. ❤️

  12. It seems to also be dependent upon who is reviewing the content as they are inconsistent. I wanted to rename Realistic Cooking Ideas to Supper Plate which is the new name. They would not let me but other people have changed their group name without problem. They are not consistent at all. Very frustrating.
