Danu , mother goddess, mother earth and mother water. All things good and bad are brought from your altar.

See your pregnant belly swelling all around you, light, life and story telling. The tallest trees bow down for you the moon, sun and stars in the ferment do as you bade them do.

All creatures, feathered, fur clad or cloven hoofed are suddenly as one when you are near, you calm them all, that is the truth

What grows within thy sacred womb is it the flowers that in spring, soon will bloom.Truly you look fit to burst, winters’ cold icy blasts have held back all life now with your waters you will quench their thirst.

Mother Danu your beauty shines your magic will be recorded for all to see in times to come all wreathed in rhymes. Mother Danu clear and blue your waters carry fish for us too, You feed us from land, water and sky with crops, animals fish and birds that fly.

Danu you show us four seasons, you hold our world in your hands we are so bad you love us still ? you have your reasons.

Danu , mother goddess, mother earth and mother water. All things good and bad are brought from your altar.

frozen pipes

Silently all through the night icicles attacked my pipes. So this morning what do I find.No water in the kitchen taps of mine! The temperature had really dropped and through the vents, by the pipes, icy winds had popped. Done there worst to savage me , final insult no water for my coffee!

Natures Beauty

Now, normally , you know me, natures; beauty I can always see but not this time!! Not first thing in the morning, yawning,  needing coffee but no water in those pipes of mine. Crystal pattern in the woods are beautiful and fine but not inside these pipes of mine.

Okay, now I have had to do this before get the extension  lead and stretch it across the floor, to the open cupboard door. Use hair dryer in even bursts to help thaw the pipe come on nature do your worst.

Hours went by, well at least two and there was nothing more I could do. Just keep applying the heat, rush out side and cover the vents, those icy winds to defeat. Finally I win the day hot and cold water down the sink runs away.

I am delighted I am pleased the warmth has all that ice away squeezed. So keeping open the cupboard door and making sure the icy wind can invade around my pipes no more. I choose to do the ironing.

All was perfect once again I had nothing to complain about. Then an hour later I hear trickling OH NO ! yes, the stop cock has sprung a spout.

a gentle spray

What am I supposed to do, panic, well wouldn’t you. The water must be shut off there is nothing else to do. Now I am cut off from the mains I want more coffee but the water is playing games.

It has been too long a day, after all that crap I  still had to shop, need food for Sunday.

I just do not understand I was told they were all insulated, vents covered nice and cosy nice and grand. Yet because my hubby is away the water pipes froze up today!

This is exactly what I mean when I asked you to leave me in my dream!! I wonder is this all a scheme to drive me mad , if it is , it is working well I think pipes are mean and icicles are bad!

Dream before Dawn

before the dawn

It is the grey just before dawn, the lightening flashes from side to side of the grey sky so forlorn. The tide turns shifting sand in shallows and the deep from seaboard to seaboard such secrets they keep.

What use is an umbrella in a thunderstorm, why wear a towel in the sea it will just get heavy and disappear as by the waves, from you it is torn. The umbrella will blow inside out and you will be left naked apart from your pout.

The wind whips up a pace it is getting really cold now and your wet hair slaps you hard around your face. You kneel cold and lonely on the edge of the sea a broken umbrella, a sodden towel and a soul that begs to be set free.
