MetaVerse or MetaCurse?

We carry our lives about in our hands
All our appointments,contacts and plans.
What would we do if all connectivity dropped
Never to return would all our lives come to a stop.

How would we cope if EPOS was gone
Could we cope with mental arithmetic for long.
So many can’t spell or tally a bill
So caught up in games they’ve lost all free will.

There doesn’t seem to be anyway back
Of common sense there is a huge lack
We’ve all become lazy on A.I. depending
It’s getting too late for against it defending.

A.I. can write stories and blogs
Create pictures, watch us and keep logs
Are we all too lazy or too blind to see
We’ll all end up useless and hands free.

COLLEEN’S 2020 WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 197, #SPECIFICFORM: TANKA

WELCOME TO TANKA TUESDAY!

It’s the fifth Tuesday of the month! This is our chance to work with a specific syllabic poetry form. So, take this opportunity to learn more about the particular form. You can use any subject, theme, or words to convey your message.

This week’s form is:

TANKA

Compassion

Look straight at me please
Don’t ignore me I am here
I may be older
But I have life in me yet
Have you any compassion?

This is part of Colleen’s Tuesday Tanka Challenge.

Three things Challenge #356

Welcome to The Three Things Challenge.
For those of you unfamiliar with the challenge, every day Di at pensitivity101 lists three things that may, or may not, be related.
The challenge is to simply read the prompt and see where your creativity takes you, using one, two or all three words in your post. There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.
You can use the 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and the logo if you wish

Your three things today are:

HOST
FUN
TIME

“Tonight your host is Ca Rona, she is delighted you could all come. She hopes you will have fun. Laughing, dancing, singing, smooching and kissing are the order of the night.
Ca has prepared all the food and drink for you to enjoy , every morsel touched by her personally.
So what’s the saying? Oh! Yes, ‘eat drink and be merry for tomorrow you die’ maybe not tomorrow but soon. Time is running out for you all.
Yes of course you can leave any time , go home to your families, go to work, go shopping, give everyone Ca Rona’s greetings. Tomorrow there’s a beach party your all welcome. Times a ticking …so is CA Rona.

sadly we can only blame ourselves.

Two sides to every story your actions have consequences.

This sombre piece was bought to you courtesy of pensivity101’s Three things challenge.

A Final Warning.

Dead

Starfish

On the beach

Are a message

Tell me who’ll listen

The bottle glints brightly

In un-natural hot sun

It too holds a message for us

Our planet is dying as we watch

We were custodians but we have failed.

Can

We heed

The message

Is it too late

Are we spoilers

Is this our sole fate

Can we save the planet

Rescue the land and the seas

Hark the note in the bottle please

Time is galloping away from us

Stop the rape and plunder of mother earth.

********

The above is my entry to Colleen’s Tuesday Tanka Challenge.

Today is the middle Tuesday of the month and I am delighted to say it means we have a picture prompt. Thank you Colleen this one is a beauty which we can take in many directions. I have chosen a Butterfly Etheree , I feel the Butterfly is apt because I have chosen to use the message in the bottle as a warning. We have polluted our seas with plastic and chemicals, injuring and killing our aquatic wildlife. We are mining, deforesting and poisoning the earth and burning a hole in the ozone allowing climate change, It is real. I have not even touched on the ward we are waging.

We (humans) are the cause whether we intend to be or not. We must act now or lose our beautiful home.

Love to you all.

Thursday photo prompt: Wicker #writephoto

This Acrostic two part poem  is part of  Sue Vincent of  The Daily Echo’s  #writephoto.

Wicker

Witches three, they  called us little did they know

Insinuations made against us , lead us to be burned, slow.

Children we delivered , denounced an turned away

Kindling they all gathered to help  build the fire that day.

Each and everyone  who was witness we had healed through out  their lives.

Renounced  and  and  sold us out.

Women

We stand  here as reminders to what you have all done

OH! yes you are responsible for the future  that’s  to come

Mend your ways, but  the harm is done your reign is  almost run.

Endlessly you have  misused  Nature’s gifts

Now we join our hands in prayer  for you it’s more than you deserve.

There it is upon  the  wall

The  writing is  clear,

A message  for  all.

A warning  for  you to hear.

May be  last year  was  a warning

For  us  to  hear and  heed

Beware there is a dark time dawning

Man is bad by word  and deed.

Wars and  religion tearing us apart

Politicians all bloody  liars

The situation is wrong, rotten  to  the heart.

Snakes  all of them as they conspire

The  warning  is  there for  all to see

Heed it now before it’s too late

Soon none of us  will be free

We’ll destroy our world with hate.

Here in the dark I reside

Working  for  you ceaselessly no stopping

Taking  the stress for you as you cried

Calming  you, a relief as your tears are  dropping.

Holding you, guiding  you, breathe in and breathe out

Lifting  you, carrying you ,each trial, I see you through

Without  me you are nothing. That is true without a doubt.

Supporting you, I protect you  you need me it’s true.

You do not  listen to me, nor think of me. You pay me no heed.

You ignore  my warnings, starve me of air  and life

You over work  me  and push and misuse  me until I bleed

You feed me poison  and fast food until it hurts like a knife.

If I am not heeded I shall lay you to your rest.

NaPoWriMo Day 27,A Cat May& Many Hands Make

http://en.blog.files.wordpress.com/

NaPoWriMo Day 27 : Today’s prompt is  to use the wondrous powers of the Internet to help you write, and I have a particular method in mind. Think of a common proverb or phrase — something like “All that glitters is not gold,” or “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride.” Then plug the first three words of the phrase into a search engine. Skim through the first few pages of results, collecting (rather like a poetic magpie) words and phrases that interest you. Then use those words and phrases as the inspirations (and some of the source material) for a new poem.

A Cat May (Warning)

http://img3.etsystatic.com/

A cat may, that is what everyone says

Owning a cat may shorten your days

Toxoplasma gondii parasite

Insidious, unseen, malicious and quiet

Excreted escaping hoping to invade

Depressing the nerves with an unhappy parade

A cat may without any thoughts of harm

Can infest your blood and remove life’s charm.

In muscles and brain hides the  nasty nasty little parasites

They will push you , and push you to take your life.

So a beautiful cat may look at a king

But everyone in the castle should be aware what he is hiding within.

Many hands make Fractals Tactile

http://www.iesbuckeye.com/

Many Hands make Fractals Tactile.

That’s sounds so hopeful it makes you smile.

Many hands clear the deck especially in the sun

The more of us together makes us more inclined to fun.

Many hands all wearing rings with diamonds will catch the light

The more of us there are, the sooner the job gets done right.

The more hands lifted to the sky reaching far reaching high

So remember Many Hands make Fractals Tactile and your heart fly.

Time Thief

Time is now, there is neither past nor future.

We stand here in the moment. We can’t go back and rewrite what has gone before.

There is no way that we can influence what is to come. “What” I hear you say. “We can plan, we can organize.”

You are fooling yourselves you may be able to influence some things but not the important.

Take your chance now. “Do not put off to tomorrow that which can be done today.”

A truer statement has not been made. Don’t let the future rob you of the now.

Do not let the past wrap you up in remorse, regret or even yearning.

It is gone and never will return, if you are lucky it may have taught you something.

The future is a thief, beware it does not steal your chance to do things. It robs by slight and stealth. Tomorrow I will meet you, tomorrow I will come, I won’t forget to ring you but yet tomorrow never comes.

I wish I had, if only, if only once again it’s gone and past and all that lasts is eternal pain.

The lessens are there for learning and once we really look the lines are clear the pages open so take a close, close look my dear.
