#TANKA TUESDAY Weekly #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 230 #EKPHRASTIC #PHOTOPROMPT

It’s the third week of the month! Time for an Ekphrastic #PhotoPrompt

This challenge explores Ekphrastic writing inspired by visual art (photographs). Kerfe Roig provided a piece of her art for this month’s challenge.

I have chosen to try a Cromorna. New to me but I think it’s form fits the picture.

Cromorna is a verse form that has compact lines and exacting meter and rhyme developed by Viola Berg. The Cromorna is:
stanzaic, written in 3 quatrains.
syllabic, with 5/3/5/3/5/3/5/3/5/3/5/3 syllables per line.
rhymed, rhyme scheme abab cbcb dbdb.

Quest.

a search without cease
paper bird
ceaseless hunt for peace
dove unheard

traced in my mind’s map.
paper bird
the answer, a trap
dreams occured

infinite and spacial
it’s life’s spice
all celestial
tossed like dice.

This is part of Colleen Chesebro’s Tuesday Tanka Challenge.

“Only two things are infinite, the universe
and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.”

Albert Einstein:

Once upon a moon.

Look at me sitting on the moon watching stars as they past me, whizz  and zoom. I spent all day making more which I have attached  by ribbons bright to my moon so you can sit and view them tonight.

I have searched the the skies at night for new stars out on their maiden flight. I can see stories in this universe so many things which cannot be reversed. Rushing fast present, future past the truths the lies the dye is cast.

Stars are golden, stars are bright stars dance unendingly all through their life. They see things we never dreamed of colours, vistas made from dust over millennia they’ve form a planets’ crust.

Stars are sparkly stars are light …. if only that were right .

Inspiration

One, two miss a few Ninety Nine One Hundred

This is more real than we believe , there are less things random than we perceive.

Everything has it’s place in this universe, the fact that we have not discovered this yet is just the human curse!

What yesterday was a million light years away tomorrow will be as simple as mere  child’s play.

Nothing is Random nothing is new if only we all opened our eyes at the same time we would see that it is true.

The little ditty above was inspired in me by Ajay Ohri and his amazing post Random Numbers.

THIS THE POEM THAT INSPIRED ME FROM POEMS FOR KUSH. AND THE LINK.

Random Numbers

“The generation of random numbers is too important to be left to chance.”

Time to re-write algorithms, it is time to dance

What you thought was random, was predictable after all

Even though you ignored the failure that occurred so small

Breach occurs at the lowest strength in the wall

What is random today , tomorrow it shall fall

Thank you Ajay Ohri

Reach up for the stars

Reach for the stars

Reach up for the stars, it’s not so far. Aim high fly up into the clear blue sky. Watch the birds winging by singing happy songs as they fly.

Things are so confusing, time is passing you by. We are tired of being earth bound it is time for us to fly! Ascend above the clouds and through the atmosphere lets spin off of this planet and get away from here.

Wouldn’t it fabulous, wouldn’t it be fun if we could escape gravity and tiny little bits of star dust we could become. Spinning along the milky way dipping past the Sun. Looping loops round Venus, Jupiter and Mars riding rings round Saturn playing leap frog with the stars.

Lets fly out into our universe  and head out past our Sun we could we maybe find out who lives next door and ask them out to have some fun!
