Sue Vincent’s #writephoto. Clouded.

This week’s prompt ~ for Sue Vincent’s #writephoto. Clouded. Written Earlier this year.

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a landscape of green moorland and hills, with a pool of water near rocks in the foreground and a heavy bank of white cloud rolling in and masking the horizon.

The hills rolled on forever, dark foreboding. Clouds rolling in from the west carring rain or worse snow, she could smell it. The whole of the land was shrouded in fear. It had been days since she had seen another living being of her kind and she could not dismiss the feeling that she alone.

There was no way out she had tried. The hills became too steep, the river too fast and the boarder along the eastside too heavily guarded by humans. There was no escape while she was in this wounded condition. Eventually she would run out of places to hide and they would find her.

Slowly she turned and padded back to the cave, she would have her pups in a few weeks and by the time they were grown and strong enough she would be able to lead them out of this place . Her strength would have returned and her wounds healed.

For now this was her prison and her sanctuary , she was safe for now how ever clouded her future .

Sue Vincent’s #writephoto. Poised

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a leaf-strewn flight of stone-cut steps descending into a hole in the ground. Poised to ascend…or descend… is the dark silhouette of a strange figure. I see a Rabbit!

Tick tock pocket watch

Who’s coming up the stairs

Tick tock stop the clock

Alice’s new friend appears.

Moving fast, Hurry hurry

Milliners licking lips, in a flurry

Time for tea, guests unaware

All laced with Mercury, mousey sleeping in his chair.

Jam tarts Queen of Hearts

Keep her smiling don’t let things fall apart.

Tick tock, chip Chop

Look out it’s heads off.

Alice is sleepy now

Home in bed wipes her brow.

Tick tock pocket watch

Who’s poised to climb the stairs?

All was well the day before, the sun still shone and the sky was blue

Everything  had it’s place and everyone was in their space and all was good and  true.

Yesterday  it all made sense I knew where my life was going

Today I am lost without a safety net swimming against the river’s flowing.

Sitting, thinking,  here alone  unsure which way to go

Yesterday you stood with me. You promised me a life in which we’d grow.

The day before you left the sun shone and I knew where I stood.

You were everything to me  my only force for good!

What is the future  where can I turn all of my hopes have crashed and burned.

All was good yesterday, the day before my hopes were blown away. Happiness spurned,

Nothing  but darkness learned. I really don’t know what to do

Yesterday I had the colours of the rainbow but today all I have is blue.
