The inheritance.

She could hear the pipes grandda used to play. The sound was in the wind comming up from the sea. Oh! it was cold grey here, desolate even. Yet once inside those forbidding walls all was light and love. What now, with Nana and Grandda both gone. So many memories, must they sell?

Wake up Little Suzie.

This is how Suzie loved the cinema, quite clean and empty. No mess, no smells, no people. She’d hoovered and removed the leftovers and unmentionables! She settled in the comfy leather seat put her feet up and closed her eyes. It was better than going home no one here to hit her.

The annual Jolly

Yearly on their reunion jolly they hired a large rowboat with guide and went looking for the Zander. Last spotted in 2010 in the Teddinton area of the Thames. As usual the cunning Zander happily floated under the rowboat out of sight of their cameras. Preferring to be extinct.

The brain child of Kat Myrman of Like Murcury Colliding.

Why was he alone there should be a hundred souls here. The last transport was now. Everyone had left months ago leaving the final few to shut down the planet. It was dark and acid rain was falling. 9 o’clock the email said, he got his mobile out to check…. nine AM…. Nooo!

SATAN’S SPAWN.

Satan shouted, who had moved his bucket. Silence, Uriel has been clearing up had he moved it? Satan was getting annoyed, where was his spawn.
Uriel smiled as two little boys wandered off into the sun set carrying a bucket of black smelly spawn. Uriel loved making children happy.

Hopewell

Photo prompt by Leigh Heasley at Pexels.com

Another morning in the gray soulless house. She crept out of the door into cold gray air. Her case was light as she carried it down the drive so as not to wake those in the house
Out of the gray gates for the last time! Today the first day of her life in colour.Farewell Hopewell.

The Shock.

Running as fast as she could towards the railway. Up and over the style, she was stopped dead in her tracks. There was a note right where her foot had landed on the style. Held down by a stone, a hand written note. Slowly and carefully she picked it up and cautiously read it.

Fifty shades of Grey

Lean in,I willed him to look closer, to be astounded by my choice of reading.I wanted him to be impressed by my collection of prize winning books. He’d never know that I had not read any of them. I was just like my bookcase all show. Fifty shades of Grey no colour, no substance.
