Twittering Tales #112 – 27 November 2018 – The Bucket List

This is my entry for Kat Myrman’s Twittering Tales.

She’d been 17 when they had married. 19years when the first boy arrived and 30years when the third and last boy appeared. Well now they had all grown and flown. It was their time. So they renewed their passports and set off on their travels. So they entered their second teens.

Bahaha!

“Who are ewe? new here?”

“We’re trinity.”

“Well you’re welcome to join our flock.”

“Thanks but we have heaven to run.”

“Why you here?”

“Aup! Ladies is this a new shepherd?”

“No I am said trinity. That’s lost boy Azriel.”

Gabriel was tearing his hair out to the sound of Satan’s laugh!

More Trouble for Heaven

“What, d’you mean he’s removed all photos from earth.” God was in no mood for riddles. Gabriel had that pained look that Michael and St Peter had grown to fear.
Satan, knee deep in photos giggling happily. “All I asked Azriel to do was to put me in the picture.”Gabriel screamed.

SILENCE.

There’s no peace since the ravens arrived, crawing and whirling around the roof.

The day they began to roost was the day the Ents came.Trees with arms and voices.

Surly it couldn’t get any worse?

Then the grumbling pumpkin turned up in a box of gourds. I’ve not slept in months.

Window Dressing.

Gabriel was looking blank, “where’s your face gone?” asked a smiling Satan. No answer came.
St Peter found Azriel in Harrod’s window .”It’s okay son you’re not in trouble we all know who put you up to this. Sadly Gabriel’s nose looks a tad worse for wear.” There’ll be hell to pay.

Nightmare

It was the same nightmare that he’d had for years. He’d arrive at work and not only had the office and carpark gone. In their place, among the weeds were five desks and five typewriters. He pinched himself on the arm as Dr Capaldy had suggested. But this time he didn’t wake up.

The Group.

“Is this a statement?” Asked dr Haldon, “has someone got a point to make. If so be big enough to put your name to it” The therapy group shifted uneasily. No one spoke there was no eye contact. “Speak up this is a good sign, own your feelings!” Silence, but a tiny glimmer of hope.

More trouble in Heaven and Hell.

The snow had fallen for days now. The whole town was cut off. Those stuck in the library were warm and well entertained. Micheal was helping Gabriel search for his talc and Azriel. St Peter had told the Big Man it was a Code White. Satan was warming himself by the fire, happy.

More things that go bump in the night.

Marly watched as the drain cover opened. A man, or was it a woman emerged. The whatever it was did not seem happy. Cocking his head to one side Marly wagged his tail hoping that would endear him. Gabriel was not to be won over though. Satan’s laugh could be heard in the distance.
