Hello America it been a busy week, your Canadian cousins celebrated Canada Day on July 1st while you guys will be celebrating Independence Day on the 4th July.. so may I wish you all the best.

This is the first Tuesday of the month so Colleen always allows us to pick our own words to use Synonymously.

I have chosen Deny and Improve. This week I have chosen a Tanka for Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday Challenge.

Let’s come together

Welcome the poor of the world.

Liberty for all?

Arms wide, mouth gagged eyes shut

We’d change the world if we tried.

Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday Poetry Challenge. Global & Warming.

This is part of Colleen Chesebro’s Tanka Tuesday.

Colleen Chesebro is on Sabbatical, moving house for her health.. and that’s the truth.

Colleen said: “So, I’m asking my regular poetry challenge participants to keep writing a weekly poem until I get back. (No submission forms) Feel free to link to this post, or not, whatever works best for you. Choose your own words and keep using the syllabic forms: Haiku, Senryu, Haiga, Tanka, Haibun, Cinquain, Etheree, Nonet, and Shadorma. Choose your own words and just have fun. I’ll stop in and comment when I can.”

The two words I have chosen to use synonymously are Global and Warming.

Parched planet syndrome

Polar caps diminishing

All life extinguished

Mother Nature bows her head

Weeps for a planet that’s dead.

Colleen’s 2019 Weekly #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge No. 130 #Synonyms Only

It’s the first Tuesday of the month so we can choose our own words this time. So welcome to Colleen the Fairy Whisperer Tuesday Tanka.

I have chosen to write a mirror Etheree about my friend. Natalie is blind and a real hero. She has a partner and two beautiful and clever children. Ruby, our retired guide dog, and I have the privilege of joining her and Quala, her guide dog on Qula’s Free exercise walks. The two words I have chosen are Unsighted and Belief.

Blind Faith

Trust

Is all

I ask for.

Never will I

Complain. I will learn.

Eighteen months training.

I always do my best

To help you at play and rest.

I am part of the family

Life without out me is a memory.

I’m your guide dog to help and set you free.

Trust

In her

I put my

Faith. She helps me.

Blind, I cannot see

Her presence sets me free.

She is with me everyday

We walk the children to the school.

You help me work and play, my best friend.

Quala and me together to the end .

COLLEEN’S 2019 WEEKLY TANKA TUESDAY POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 119 “MYSTERY& ATTRACT,” #SYNONYMSONLY

This is my entry for Colleen Chesebro‘s Tuesday Tanka Challenge. I have written an Etheree with as many synonyms for Mystery and Attract that I could muster.

Jet

Black cat

Witches close

Familiar

Always gathers up

The unknown, the hidden

With an air enigma

They entice, allure and beguile

They are a conundrum a puzzle

Bewitching all who look into their eyes.

Colleen’s #Tanka Tuesday #Poetry Challenge #63 – Cover & Precipitation (#SynonymsOnly)

I cover my head

As rain falls all around me

My heart is breaking.

Veiled I am in hopelessness

Life sprinkles trial after trial.
