The Annual Blogger’s Bash. June 15 2019.

Where did yesterday go? I was up at the crack of 5am and on the train by 7.46am. I met Eloise, Marje, Marian and Lance at Victoria Station and then it was off to the venue.

Now I did try and take lots of photos but chatting and meeting with people takes precedense But here are someπŸ’œ.

Above are from the left Marian, Eloise, Shelly, Mary Smith, Sherrie and the lovely Marjorie πŸ’œ

Claire Saul, her lovely hubby and AprilπŸ’œ

I totally failed to get a good picture of Isa , she is sitting at the table in blue top. I was delighted to see her again. It was great to catch up, I wanted a selfie with her but I failed😣 her partner from their blog Jo could not make it. Jo I missed you πŸ’œπŸ’œ

I really tried to meet everyone but I did not get to speak to these two. I am sorry. If you let me know who you are I will link you in. I am sorry I didn’t get to chat .πŸ’œ Just been informed by Lance the young lady is Claire. Just looking for the chap now.

Oh! I have remembered the lovely Simon sorry for the late entry Simon .

I also didn’t get to speak to Ananda Leeks If I missed anyone I am so sorry. Let me know and I will add you πŸ’œ

Ritu, me and Marje my Blogging sisters πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

I didn’t get any photos of Samantha Smith Here is her winning blog post : If You Only Had Five Minutes, What Would TV You Save?

Excellent story I really enjoyed it πŸ’œπŸ’œ.

I also didn’t get a photo of of Susanne Tench and her brother. Nor did I get a photo of Jemima Pett

There were others there but I didn’t get photos so if I have left anyone one out please, please forgive me!

I can’t tell you how much it means to me to meet up with my bloggy family. I really love to meet up with old friends and make lots of new friends too. Everyone is happy to chat and so genuine.

If you have never been to a Bash I can really recommend that if you can you do because there is always so much to learn and so many opportunities to network.

We started off with a welcome speech, from Suzie then two awards , followed by the competition presented by Gareth Stevens, and the winner Samantha Smith was at the Bash.

Next Laura had us in stitches. Followed by a few more awards.

Then Jemma told us her story from book devouring teen to published author… absolutely fabulous.

Then lunch, time to relax and chat and mingle, always one of the best parts of the day.

Then it was back in and time for the panel, great questions and great questions.

After the Question and Answers it was Suzie’s Flat Lay presentation

Followed by Geoff doing the final awards, then Sacha closed up .

Time to chat more πŸ’œπŸ’œ.

So again it was over, months of excitedly looking forward to the ABBA’s planning travel and then poof it’s over and Marian, Eloise and I are quick marching after Lance back to Victoria. We had to step it out because Eloise’s train was due! We said goodbye, Lance made sure Eloise got her train. I saw Marian through to her train, after we had tried to get through a barrier that wasn’t working!

That left me so I found the underground down the escalator Victoria line to Oxford Circus

Oxford Circus, down the escalator again . Then on to the Bakerloo line then up into the daylight at Paddington.

I had to run for my train, not a very ladylike thing to do, not a good idea either with a bad foot!

So where did the day go. But it was great πŸ’œπŸ’œ Thank you Committee you produced another winner. To everyone at the bash it was it was wonderful to meet up.

I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE.

Stream of Conciousness Saturday: Will you be Ready?

This Β is Β part Β of LindaGHillβ€˜s Stream of Concious Saturday Β here is Β the pingbak.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: β€œ Ready.”  Choose one, fact, fiction, poetry or prose it is up to you. Have fun!

Ready

Will you beΒ ready Β for this, really Β are Β you ready Β for this? I am Β but I Β cannot Β attend Β the Β meeting of Β minds Β that Β is Β The Annual Β Blogger’s Bash! Β See hereΒ  Β  They Β will be Β swarming Β towards Β the British Β Library Β to Β meet Β at 11am Β then Β mouching off to Β Pizza Hut! for 12.30.

Some Β will no Β doubt Β be alreadyΒ  on their Β way. There will be Β awards I have Β voted, I was ready Β to Β give Β my vote. There obviously Β is Β a counter Β move Β to Β stop Β this Β event or at least Β to Β throw Β a spanner in Β the Β works!! What Β I Β hear Β you Β all gasp…who Β would Β do this . Well if Β you are Β sitting Β  and Β ready Β for Β the anwser Β I Β shall tell you ! The Β first Β distraction Β tactic Β is Β The Β Prudential London Β RideΒ  terrifying Β enough in itself Β and Β threatening Β to Β bring Β the entire Β capital Β to Β a Β gringing halt. The Β second Β and in a way Β laughable distraction Β tactic Β is Β a meeting Β in Β Parliament Β Square Β Westminster Β where hundreds of people are planning to inhale laughing gas outside Parliament in a mass protest against a planned government crackdown on ‘legal highs’. …… sounds like Β the ABBAs and BOOBs might Β be Β behind Β this!

So Β all I Β can do Β as I am unable Β to attend Β is Β to hope Β that Β all those Β attending Β  The Annual Β Bloggers Bash Β are Β ready Β to Β have a great time Β I Β do Β wish I Β was with you Β all , I Β shall Β be in Β spirit ( Bacardi Β and Β coke please) .

Those of us Β unable Β to Β go Β will expect lots of Β info, reports Β and photos!! The Β other Β question Β is , is Β London Β ready Β for Β three Β major Β events? Β Is Β the Β end of Β the Β world Β nigh? Β read Tangental’s take on Β things Β hereΒ ( he is Β a big Β noise in the Β BOOB Β and ABBAs )

So will you Β be ready ? Β  Β Have Β a great Β time Β Bloggers Β I hope Β to Β be Β allowed Β to be ready Β for Β the Β next Β one!!

Here are the rules:

1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing, (typos can be fixed) and minimal planning on what you’re going to write.

2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.

3. There will be a prompt every week. Linda will post the prompt Β on her blog on Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a subject. For instance, Β Linda Β will not say β€œWrite about dogs”; the prompt will be more like, β€œMake your first sentence a question,” or β€œBegin with the word β€˜The’.”

4. Ping back! It’s important, so that Linda Β and other people can come and read your post! For example, in your post you can write β€œThis post is part of SoCS:” and then copy and paste the URL found in your address bar at the top of Linda’s post into yours.Β  Your link will show up in Linda’s comments, for everyone to see. The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top.

5. Read at least one other person’s blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read everyone’s! If you’re the first person to link back, you can check back later, or go to the previous week, by following my category, β€œStream of Consciousness Saturday,” which you’ll find right below the β€œLike” button on Linda’s post.

6. Copy and paste the rules (if you’d like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers you’ll meet and the bigger your community will get!

7. Have fun!
