Here we are at the unholy month of October. I thought I would do a paranormal, witchy, unholy bunch of poems, some new and some old.
Don’t forget to check out Jane Dougherty and Kat Myrman‘s plans for this month!
Today’s poem is Halloween from a Pumpkin’s point of view.
The
Pumpkins
Are giddy
There is something
In the Autumn air
They don’t know what’s coming
Do you really think that’s fair
Does Jack-o’-lantern really want
A lighted candle stuck in is mouth
If they knew they would all be going south.
Well
Really
What can you
Do to calm their
Nerves, and soften the
Blow, we are going to
Scoop their innards out and make
Them in to delicious Pumpkin
Soup. They’ve been told they’re something special.
Now they know the truth, they have all been duped!
