Thursday photo prompt: Darkness #writephoto

For visually challenged writers, the image shows a bank of dark clouds rolling in across a sunny moor, casting its shadow on the hills of the horizon.

This week’s prompt ~ Darkness

And so the darkness fell with a crash and a clatter waking up early evening, who was feeling rather drawn out. “Where the hell have you been it’s nine fifteen and I need some rest” Eve Nin complained. Darkness huffed and puffed and looked at his watch, ” I’m not late it mid July and I am bang on time.” He replied. “Well” Eve laughed, “your right about the bang, you made enough noise arriving to wake the dead! ” Darkness and Eve both jumped as a voice from below them screeched, “He bloody did and we are not impressed, we set our alarm for October 1st, and it’s nowhere near that yet.”

Night put his Horlicks down and inquired what all the unholy row was about! Eve said it was nothing to do with her , her shift was finished and she off for a drink with Dawn . Darkness stepped forward akwardly. “It’s my fault, I tripped on the horizon, Eve had a low hold of the sun and it blinded me temporarily. As I fell I cut my knee on the course grass, I have very tender skin you know. The noise I made woke the dead! ” Night took a sip of his Horlicks and said almost kindly, “Would you like a cup”

Darkness sank down next to night and said, ” Yes please” As Eve and Dawn downed their third Sambuca and relaxed, Night and the Darkness sat quietly with their hot drinks and waited for the dead to go back to sleep.

Thursday Doors: Being silly!

Thursday Doors is a weekly feature allowing door lovers to come together to admire and share their favorite door photos from around the world. Feel free to join in on the fun by creating your own Thursday Doors post each week and then sharing it, between Thursday morning and Saturday noon (North American eastern time), by using the blue link-up on Norman’s page here

I was in town today and I spotted this shop door it piqued  my interest and a ditty took form that demanded to be written!

             Note on the door.

Thursday Doors what can I say

I have arrived and you’ve gone away.

What has made you disappear

To have you gone and have me here.

So I went on upon my way

Pondering where you went today.

I have not had much chance of late to find some interesting doors so here are a few not so exciting doors.

Now I wander what is behind these green doors ? I saw them last week at Greys Court last week when we went to see the the Blue Bells.

My oven, door, microwave door and slimline cupboard door …three for one photo in my kitchen. 😊

Finally a door with a fantastic view from our holiday in Florida back in March….. Miss it!

Okay I have been silly enough so I promise to do better next week!!

Darkness fell

The darkness edged in slowly, un-sure quite where to put it’s feet safely without stepping in to something nasty. You know when they say night fell or darkness fell well that is just what the darkness was afraid of.

So gingerly, noisily darkness advanced from the horizon to wards me.

As I watched, all was going well until the darkness stubbed it’s toe on the side of a hill. That was it all hell let loose the darkness came crushing down cluttering and crashing around.

Shocked now I stood astounded unsure of what to do. Well how often do you get to see the darkness hopping around on one foot foul mouthed and dribbling? No you are correct it is not a common sight.

The most astounding side effect of the darkness’s fall was the shower, almost waterfall of lights and stars.Beautiful beyond belief all showery and starry. Looking out on what was now night it was strangely beautiful with darkness scrabbling around on the ground trying to get to it’s feet trying ( without success to regain 1 it’s dignity and 2 it balance which it had lost.. not just misplaced totally lost, not under the cushions or on top of the bookcase lost but proper painfully lost) .

Behind the darkness came the twilight tired and thin and looking somehow exhausted. Being so much more delicate and having better sight the twilight could not understand how the darkness had fallen the way it had. Then as it had done, many many times before taking a deep breath the long suffering twilight stooped down to scoop up the darkness.

The moon confused and annoyed was not sure if he was too late or too early… confused by the lack of dark, the night was annoyed and out of sorts. With all this going on there was not much hope of sleep. So  I got up and made myself a coffee and dived into my kindle.

Dream Bubble

scenicreflections.com/

The sky is almost indigo with wispy clouds  outside my cage, inside there are bubbles that I blow, blow, blow.Sitting here I burn incandescent with rage, rage, rage.

Oh! how many bubbles I do not know but inside each, taught emotions grow, grow, grow. How many thoughts can you sow unto barren cold ground?? They cannot grow, grow, grow.

My black hair flows in the wind that through my cage blows, blows, blows a red trim in my hair flows. I am wearing a black bask with ostrich feather trim trim trim. It make my bust look good and my waist thin, thin, thin!

Sitting here on my silver swing, I look at my sexy purple leather knee high boots, boots, boots. I count the bubbles, grief, loss, anger, pain and irritation. Some of the bubbles are bursting and water drips from them like irrigation. Below my cage the ocean ebbs and flows deep and dark and with the liquid from my bubbles it grow, grows, grows.

Lets blow some more bubbles  greed, avarice, lust ,why yes those three are a must, must, must.I am tired of sitting here on my own. Lonely grows she who sits here on the swing throne, throne, throne. A few more bubbles pride, prejudice loathing, enough, now like my bubbles I shall go roam, roam, roaming!
