Ruby’s Snow Song 💜

Silently the the white stuff fell

It called to me, it did compel.

All night the quiet, white spread

As I lay snoozing in my bed.

Finally I could wait no more

I got my humans up for sure.

Out into the snow white yonder

The landscape fill my head with wonder.

Off across the field I scurried

All around the white stuff flurried.

I danced and pranced all around

My ball with me new youth I found.

Playing about just like a puppy

Then home for breakfast, I am so lucky.

Wordless Wednesday. Ball please Ruby.

Wordless Wednesday: Ruby.

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS Dec. 15/18

This week LindaGHill’s #SoCs prompt is the word HAIRY. We have been told to use it anyway we like earnings extra points for using more than one meaning of the word, above all to have fun.

Well I have not gone for bonus points this week because a little Christmas story popped in to my head. As it’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday I just wrote the Yule Poem. Mind you I did start and finish with the prompt word …. So maybe I might earn an extra point.😉

Hairy Mary was so scary

Not a good look for a fairy

No one wanted her atop their tree

Not a pretty sight for children to see.

Cold and lonely, thrown in the alley

Mary sat making, of her misfortunes, a tally .

Ruby dog homeward trots

A delapitated form she spots.

‘Hello” says Ruby to the fairy

“What’s your” name, reply came, “Mary.”

“No one loves me” wailed Mary

“I am so ugly and so hairy!”

“Well” said Ruby, “you look fine to me.”

So Ruby picked Mary up

Took her home, kind hearted pup.

Curled up warm in Ruby’s bed

Happy, both after being fed.

Scary Mary not so scary

Snoozed in Ruby’s coat so hairy.

Do you hear them Ruby.

Do you hear the noise Ruby Girl, can you hear the the braying and the snorting and the croaking and crawing? Do you see the leaping and the hopping and the stumbling …becoming louder now a grumbling, now a rumbling?

Can you see the colours Ruby Girl, can you see the feathers and fur swirling and whirling building up to joy?

Can you see the hopping and hoblers and jumpers and leaping tibbly tobblers? Are they calling you?

Is your tail a wiggy wagging Ruby Girl and your legs a jaggling and your mouth a drooping and your heart and head a loop-a-looping.

Do you want to join the this possession this merry band all dancing paw in hand. Making nothing of the miles crossing the land. Hopity, bobopity over streams and meadows.

Do you see the black crow and the white dove Ruby Girl is you your heart full of joy? Tell me, tell me Ruby Girl. Can you feel the love. Come join them Ruby Girl as onwards they trek, Come and join them Ruby Girl. Come and join the Advent Crew.
