Draw back the curtains let in the light greet the dawn banish the night
Open your heart be honest and true
Undo the blinkers from your eyes
Reveal the truth you know you can be at one with Gaia’s plan

Travel Challenge Day 10. Reveal.

This photo is the Collescium in Rome. We visited in May 2015.

We walked  miles  and  saw  so  much! The  weather  was  brilliant  and  we had  also  had  some  wonderful  food  and wine!

We  stayed  at   an hotel  that  was  in the  grounds  of  a  monastery  it  was  set  in  beautiful  gardens  and  there  was  a seminary and  a church. There  were lots of  Nuns  and Priests  there  on  business  and  holiday, there  were  two  groups  of  young  people  on  Lecture  Tours  one  group  from the US, there  were families  and  couples  and  of  course us! It  was  quite  a  mix. It  was a lovely  hotel  and  the staff  were  excellent , polite  cheerful  and happy  to help.

We had  not picked the hotel  because it was  Catholic,  we  picked  it for it’s  location , a two minute  walk  from the  Metro  and  really  good restaurants.  We visited  The  Pantheon, The  Colosseum, The  Forum, The  Spanish Steps, The Borgesie Park,The Vatican, Sistine Chapel, The Vatican Museum  and  the  Trevi Fountain .  St Paul’s Basilica  and  St Paul’s  Square, Argentina Square, Circus Maximus and Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II (National Monument to Victor Emmanuel II (  which  the  locals  call  either  the Typewriter  or  The  Wedding cake) and  more!! PHEW!!

This beautiful view is Mexico, Riviera Maya. We have been there twice it is a beautiful place. The Riviera Maya is a stretch of Caribbean coastline on Mexico’s northeastern Yucatán Peninsula. It’s known for its numerous all-inclusive resorts, such as those in the town of Playa del Carmen, and its long beaches. To the south, Tulum is home to yoga retreats and the preserved ruins of an ancient Mayan port city.

Reveal Travel Challenge: Day 5

Day five’s photo comes from our Florida Holiday some years back. We flew into Miami stayed the night at an airport hotel and then picked up our car and set off . Our first couple of days stop was at Fort Lauderdale. While we were there we took a paddle steamer trip around the local section of the intercastal waterway.

Long disparaged as Miami’s lesser northern neighbour, Fort Lauderdale has recently come into its own with a renovated waterfront, a burgeoning culinary scene, and beaches worthy of palm-swept daydreams bringing rightful attention to the Venice of America. Stretching 3,000 miles (4,800 km) between the United States’ Atlantic and Gulf coasts, the city’s Intracoastal Waterway provides easy access to maritime activities and on-shore attractions along the 300 miles of inland canals that wind through south Florida’s unmistakable sky-high resorts and Everglades ecosystem. The Basics Aside from serving as a means of transportation, the Intracoastal Waterway offers countless opportunities for recreation, especially in Fort Lauderdale’s year-round sunshine. From classy dinner and sightseeing cruises to riverfront gondola tours, visitors can enjoy the water in whatever fashion floats their boat as they travel past forested coasts at Port Everglades.

May I say that was just the start of a wonderful holiday. With visits to Cocoa beach, Kennedy Space Center, St. Augustine, Jacksonville and Miami .

Another holiday that I have not blogged about. A beautiful day in France, a quiet village, between rain storms. We stopped for a picnic and fell in love with this house or its reflection.
