Ronovan Writes Décima Poetry Challenge Prompt No. 82: (TIME) in the B rhyme line.

The Clock is Ticking

Painfully the earth is dying
The clock’s ticking we’re out of time.
Killing mother earth is a crime.
We’ve bled her dry now she’s crying.
Save Gaia now, please start trying.
We have plundered her precious fruits
And stripped her down to her roots.
She spins so fast on her axis
As we work to avoid taxes
We’ve flattened her under our boots.

Just Jot It January. What have we done.

Mother earth

Tell me  tell me  what  have we done

Since  first we walked under a newly  birthed sun?

From pools of ensigns  and raw DNA  newborn soup

We grew  legs and arms picked up  sticks and set out a coup!

The  forests grew green and teemed with life

Creatures crawled  the ground and feathered  things took flight.

All was clean and all was good virgin and full of hope.

Then man evolved , sadly  then we hit the downward slope.

So now the answer I shall give  to you

We have raped  and spoiled our mother  planet  this is true.

Shortened  her life  but  that is not  the worst

Tearing at each other  with such disdain, hate  and mistrust we are cursed!

The Edge of emptiness.

The Red came from who knows where, no one remembered no one cared.

The sunsets suddenly began to last all day,the dying  rays would not fade away.

Days that never ended or began planets moved and clouds rolled in as solars flared.

Silently creeping up unseen, as unreal as a bad dream, red by night, red by day.

No one saw it coming , no one did a thing. The reddness kept a creeping under the city’s skin.

Filling up the sewers, creeping up the walls  filling  up the childrens lungs choking all and all.

Stripping off the ozone, burning skins and eyes, temperatures  kept rising, tempers growing thin.

Rushing out the city  gridlock starts  to grip, people started  fighting  road rage  becomes a brawl.

The rivers started boiling  and turning blood red , it was  the end of marine life all the fish were dead.

People had to stay inside, from the reddness they tried to hide. The power started failing all began to fry.

Why was nothing done to prevent this catastrophy? Because  no one listened to what the wise ones said.

If only  they had listened, if only  they had tried, it was all far too late now we are all going to die.

Looking out  my window the red is all I can see. The heat is searing, buckling  buildings is what I am hearing.

Everyone has gone now, some  went to the sea some to the poles, but  there is no point the end is here,

No one listened no one did anything to help we lost the earth long years ago.Now  the end is here.

Time is up and my paper is burning, all thats left is fear.

Gate Keepers :7

And so they crawled out of the churning soup of life

Barely standing they reached forth from the slime, so began the strife.

More trouble these creatures than any that had gone before.

The gate keepers wandered why of all the creatures on  the earth, these they feared more.

At first they were gentle creatures eating berries and hurting naught

But all too soon they changed in the floodlight of evolution they were caught.

Man grew, he thrived he took from mother earth forgetting to pay her back.

The gate keepers were shocked  by their attitude and grieve to see that gratitude they lack.

So tired was mother nature  and she had hardly just begun

Her tears were flowing freely and her ice was melting  under the sun.

These humans grew in stature and this planet they heartlessly raped .

The gate keepers were speechless as they watched their mouths agape.
