LIFE’S A BITCH AND TIME IS HER PIMP

Recently I have read news articles and seen TV programs about  sex trafficking from Eastern Europe to the UK and  Northern Ireland. I was shocked and saddened so I wrote this poem. I have to apologise for some of the words and situations that I have addressed here  they are not nice, they are not nice at all! Life is not nice life is sometimes a bitch and sometimes  time spent here is not good. So please forgive my language.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Life is full of promises that it cannot keep. You never have enough money HA! honey don’t make me weep. Your house is never big enough or warm enough. So what  you keep moaning about what you have and you have not. People have had to cope with shit like this since the year dot.

Night is a damp cold alley pretty dimly lit your the freezing body, back aching as you lean through the car window smiling at some dumb shit.

Menace is the smelly hooded guy standing at your rear he says he is there for your safety but it is  him and not these punters that you really fear.

Life is full of promises that it cannot keep. You never have enough money HA! honey don’t make me weep. The kids are never satisfied, there is never enough to eat the walls are all so damp that they have colds and coughs on repeat.

Fear is a darker alley, field or even hotel room, where is that useless pimp when you need him… well he is not here in this stinking room. You don’t know this man from jack shit yet are expect to open up and give it how he wants and smile while he does it. Your pimp ? well he is happy he took the money up front so he is nowhere to found while you are here risking your c###.

Dismay is what you feel when you get your pay not enough to live on not enough to see you  through the day. Is it really worth it, you stop and ask yourself , you left your mother and your home land tempted by tales of wealth. Was it worth the lorry ride across Europe no room to move or piss all cooped up inside.

Was it worth the filthy cramped room your forced to live in with the children you have had and all the other girls living skin to skin. Is it worth the pennies you are allowed to keep your dream is a square meal and somewhere private to sleep.

Is it worth the police raids they get worse each time the pimps get away with it and you get a hefty fine. They say that will brake up the sex gangs and the eastern Europe runs. They say they will sort them out , well arrest the pimps and the bums!

Life is full of promises that it cannot keep. You never have enough money HA! honey don’t make me weep. Your house is never big enough or warm enough. So what  people have had to cope with shit like this since the year dot. Until you have had to live like this you have no room your woes to tell consider being trafficked across  Europe and ending up in this living hell.
