Three Things Challenge #145

Welcome to The Three Things Challenge over at Di’s blog pensitivity101. She said
“Everyday I’ll give you three words or things that will hopefully trigger your creativity.
No need to use them all if you don’t want to, simply read the prompt and see what comes to mind.
You can use the 3TC, #threethingschallenge or TTC as a tag and the new logo if you wish.
There are no restrictions regarding length, style, or genre apart from keeping it family friendly.

Today’s words are HEART POISON CARE.

Take care said trees

As they danced in the breeze.

Don’t bite the apple shiny and red

Filled with poison to mess up your head

Just one bite you’ll give up the fight

So take heart and have the Turkish delight!

A Single Tear.

A single tear escapes, it flows down my face

I reach  for peace  but it has gone vanished without a trace.

I cannot bear to watch.  The words assault my ears

The noise, the missiles  skimming past me it heightens  my fears.

Bullets and bombs slice through me.  I fall kicked under foot

I am on  my knees the sword is held to my neck into darkness my hopes shoot.

They are pouring poison into my wounds, burning I am burning

They drive diggers over  me gouging out my guts, all my pleas spurning.

Stop, stop  you are killing me.

I am dying fast, why can’t  you see.

A single tear escapes, it flows down my face

I reach  for peace  but it has gone vanished without a trace.

Acrostic Tongue (SoCS)

Stream of Consciousness post.  SoCS: http://lindaghill.wordpress.com/2014/06/06/the-friday-reminder-and-prompt-for-socs-june-714/

The prompt is (drum roll please): Tongue.

Tainted, poisonedand sharp and easily hutful edged with spite.

Open and vicious ready to bite

Nastily sniping at everyone

Guilty of lies spat out without a care if they’re right or wrong

Uncaring of any trauma it might cause.

Effortless a double edged razor cutting without pause.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The  rules are
1. Your post must be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing, (typos can be fixed) and minimal planning on what you’re going to write.
2. Your post can be as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.
3. There will be a prompt every week. I will post the prompt here on my blog on Friday, along with a reminder for you to join in. The prompt will be one random thing, but it will not be a subject. For instance, I will not say “Write about dogs”; the prompt will be more like, “Make your first sentence a question,” or “Begin with the word ‘The’.”
4. Ping back! It’s important, so that I and other people will come and read your post! The way to ping back, is to just copy and paste the URL of my post somewhere on your post. Then your URL will show up in my comments, for everyone to see. For example, in your post you can copy and paste the following: This post is part of SoCS: http://lindaghill.wordpress.com/2014/06/06/the-friday-reminder-and-prompt-for-socs-june-714/  The most recent pingbacks will be found at the top.
5. Read at least one other person’s blog who has linked back their post. Even better, read everyone’s! If you’re the first person to link back, you can check back later, or go to the previous week, by following my category, “Stream of Consciousness Saturday,” which you’ll find right below the “Like” button on my post.
6. Copy and paste the rules (if you’d like to) in your post. The more people who join in, the more new bloggers you’ll meet and the bigger your community will get!
7. Have fun!
He stands in the shadows
He’s standing there in the  shadows and he is watching me and you
Waiting to see if we if we are doing as we should do.Do we even know what to do.
He is crying in the shadows hiding
He sees that we are, deaf to his tidings.
He sees brother killing brother
Lost sisters grieving for lovers
Children dying reaching out for their mothers.
Why is he watching  why does he not speak.
Is he letting them suffer, suffer in vein setting the strong to kill the weak.
He sees the huge eagle on one side He picks up the dice and hurls them, he weeps as they collide.
His children are fighting, have they ever stopped .
They’re squabbling  and and arguing about the bombs they have dropped.
They lie about who did it and who did not …………
For the innocents caught in the crossfire they care not a jot.
He’s standing there in the  shadows and he is watching me and you
Waiting to see if we if we are doing as we should, do we even know what to do.
