At Kat Myrman‘s suggestion, along with Jane Dougherty, I’m trying out the Lune form this month. The Lune is a three line poem, either 5/3/5 syllables or 3/5/3 words.

Petals fall
Harsh summer showers

Heart broken was she
Watching the petals float free
Why could she not flee.

Petals tell me true
Does his heart belong to me
Tell me, tell me do.

The night was getting older and stars did brightly burn, all was silent you could hear the world turn.
Again she was at her potions and her books searching for the answers for which she yearned.
She had freshly gathered herbs and flower petals which she had gathered in the early morning dew.
Spells and ancient writings , a thousand books or more, she must find the answer because she’d promised to.
Looking deep into her crystal ball for the answer she deeply scoured for
But answers all eluded her which vexed her so, it vexed her so much it truly made her head sore.
Each evening she burned the midnight oil determined to find an answer she neither ate nor drank
Health began to fail her and deeply her soul and spirit sank……………..
Her quest did all but consume her as she searched for answers for you .
