This week on Colleen’s Tuesday Tanka Challenge it Poets Choice. It’s the first week of November and also a big week for America being the Trump and Biden Big Bash! So I have tied that in to my three Haiku, two that are 5/7/5 and one that is 3/5/3.
November choices
For you in the land of the free
No choice do I see.
Your choice counts
Vote now for freedom
It’s hopeless.
Nature winding down
This harsh year almost spent
Good riddance to it.
Cold
And dark
November
Has now arrived
Nights rent assunder
Loud, bright pyrotechnics
Days short of light, nights coal black
North winds, morning frosts, leaves flying
We watch the old year slowly dieing
Time’s fast passage whips us on to winter.
Fog curls around the Forrest deep
Cold,damp the earth seeps
She arrives and men’s hearts leap.

Auburn hair colour of leaves
Empty souls grieve
Vampires cold blood lust sieves

Gliding through the mists and fires
Hungry she seeks her desire
Lures needy souls to her layer.
