I was in town today and I spotted this shop door it piqued  my interest and a ditty took form that demanded to be written!

             Note on the door.

Thursday Doors what can I say

I have arrived and you’ve gone away.

What has made‚Äč you disappear

To have you gone and have me here.

So I went on upon my way

Pondering where you went today.

I have not had much chance of late to find some interesting doors so here are a few not so exciting doors.

Now I wander what is behind these green doors ? I saw them last week at Greys Court last week when we went to see the the Blue Bells.

My oven, door, microwave door and slimline cupboard door …three for one photo in my kitchen. ūüėä

Finally a door with a fantastic view from our holiday in Florida back in March….. Miss it!

Okay I have been silly enough so I promise to do better next week!!

On Tuesday this week we visited the RAF Memorial at Runnymede. It is a truly beautiful place with truly decorative doors.

In the photo above every pillar is full of the names of male and female RAF personell who lost their lives in the war.

Even though the weather was not brilliant the views from the roof were stunning.

Now I have had hardly any time to even look at my blog today and I am out tonight so  I only have one door to share with you.

It is the door to a Tudor Cottage near where the dog and I go for our walk . I popped across the road and asked if I could take a photo for my blog the owner  said yes . I did not like to hang about but I think the shot is good.

So here it is.

Can you see the ceiling brand through the window.

I have to dash off now, I promise to do better next week!

Thursday Doors : Guedelon

Two doors where do  they lead,  do they lead into  the  castle  or  do  they  lead out  or  do  they  lead into  the  13th century?

Well these  are just two  doors  at  Guedelon Castle in Burgandy  in France.  This  castle  is  in  Treigny, France. They  have  been building  it  since  1997 and  they  are  no  where  near  finished  because  they  are using  13th century  methods.

Do read  all about  it here  Guedelon Castle. I  shall be  writing in  more  detail about  it  in a post  coming soon.
