WEEKLY #TANKA TUESDAY #POETRY CHALLENGE NO. 203 #EKPHRASTIC #PHOTOPROMPT

WELCOME TO TANKA TUESDAY

It’s the third week of the month! Time for an Ekphrastic #PhotoPrompt

This challenge explores Ekphrastic writing inspired by visual art (photographs). Diana Peach from last month’s challenge has provided the photo for this month’s challenge:

Moonlight Child.

Silver moonlight child
Hidden in the forest wild
Fairies see, and smile.
Caught in your reflection mild
Pray for us please moonlight child.

This is part of Colleen Chesebro’s Tuesday Tanka Challenge.

Evenings musing

unnamed (71)Here  I  am under  the  stars and  moon

The  crickets  sing  to  each other  and  soon

There will be  silence, no cars or voices to

Break  the  quite until the  sun rises  anew.

Today  I  stood  by  ruin’s  walls and  felt  the  history

I seemed  to  see it  all  the  life,  the  death,  the mystery.

What webs of intrigue went on  where I stood

Was there fighting  on this  spot , was it  for evil or  for  good.

I guess I  shall never know!

unnamed (73)

Winter’s last full Moon a Nonnette

You stand  here  in the silver moon light

You feel the magic of  time old

Washed in the tides ancient pull

Dancing freely in  night

Feeling free not cold

Sparkling not dull

You are  the

Full moon

Child.

This  is another poem  for “fullmoonsocial

Dedicated  to  my  eldest  son.

Frozen in the Moonlight.

The silver moon light  gleams though the open window

It alights on Penelope’s labours.

Stark white  hand Penelope’s dreams bleach of sorrow.

Like silver jewels hang  her favours

Lupine ( a Huitain)

Pounding pounding  blood through my veins

Running Running my paws touching cold snow

Free free nothing to stop me  no tethers no reins

Miles of Tundra with silence between here and my goal.

I avoid man  he is weak  and untrustworthy  and he smells bad

I am Lupine Canine and I am free  I hunt by the moon  the night makes me whole.

My brothers are disappearing soon we will be gone, does that effect you, does that make you feel sad!

Pounding pounding  blood through my veins

Moon dance ( A Tetracty)

Moon

Opal light

Opaque stone

Night almost gone

Such beauty to behold magic moon lit moments …………
